Who Froze the Pond

 Hello and welcome to February!
It's bright but bloomin cold out there...

First off I'd like to thank the team at CAS Mix Up for my win last month... I'm amazed by how many of you liked the little goose - She called Esmeralda by the way. Unfortunately I couldn't respond to some of my new visitors so if you're looking in, Thank you! Your kind words are much appreciated.

Clelie wanted to know more about Esmeralda and you too may have been wondering what she was looking back at...

Well it was this guy...Meet Albert

He's not the brightest duck on the pond and occasionally forgets his swimming trunks when he goes for a dip, hence Esmeralda's expression, sadly this day he found the pond completely frozen over

Ducks and ice are not a good combination, poor Albert... He'll just have to come back tomorrow and hope there's a thaw

Thank you for indulging me in my imagination... I'm sure Albert and I will one day end up in the same care home Lol!

Be safe and enjoy your day

~ Ros ~

Oh Ros I can't thank you enough for 'making my day'. Started out badly after last night's FB hacking but coming here this morning has brightened my day! LOVE your story and LOL when reading that Albert had forgotten his swim trunks hence the expression on her face (actually scrolled back to look at her expression lol). You are too clever! BEAUTIFULLY created in every way! Again ... bless you my friend ... you've turned my bad start into a good going forward! HUGS

Congratulations on your win and I am not one bit surprised. I hope that Esmeralda and Albert will waddle over and visit Jemima Puddle-Duck. I believe that Miss Potter says that there has never been a more stupid duck than Jemima.
I have long admired your art work Ros.
Such sweet faces on these two geese - you know geese can be quite mean!
Once again congratulations and I look forward to seeing more of your delightful creations!

Oh my goodness Ros, Esmeralda and Albert are just the sweetest! Congrats on last months win, so deserving! You know when you read a good book and you just don't want it to end?...Well, I can see you are going to have fun with these two characters...and so ARE WE!♥. (When I was a girl, we had two ducks on our farm...George and Mrs. George. They were actually quite devoted to each other. Now, George acted like he was a part of our Family (and we were very attached to him). It looks to me like Albert is smitten! I think this is going to be an enjoyable adverture!☺ Thanks so much for the FUN!♥

I'm sitting here smiling and so happy seeing your duck friends at the pond. There's Albert, caught in his birthday suit on a frozen pond, tsk tsk. I love them both! I was happy to see you picked for the win at CAS Mix Up. Esmeralda is beautiful in her snowy scene!

Okay, Ros, you know what this means, this means you need to sit yourself down and turn Albert and Esmeralda into a children's book with your incredible imagination for story-telling and for painting! I want to hear more and see more and I'm a grown woman ... well, okay, my brain is about six, so I know your book would be a great hit and what a way to escape into your imagination and be creative during this chapter of your life? Do it! (I know you love it when I get bossy!😄Hugs, Darnell
