I hadn't planned on posting today but then I saw my blog friend Michele has joined the team at
The Flower Challenge Congrats!
I rarely play along with challenges but to surprise Michele, this one I am playing along with.
As it happens I had recently been using purple and grey in my paintings, in particular a couple of sketches I did that are supposed to be iris. See what you think
Well this was my first attempt, but definitely shades of purple
I'm not even sure if you can enter your own sketches but this is for you Michele Lol!

Iris in this blue are my favorite of all, but I did have some gorgeous big whites from Tom's grandmother that I cherished - should have dug them up and moved them with me!

I think your purple irises are very pretty Ros and love the hills in the background and a super sentiment and clear gems to finish. x
Oh, just lovely as can be! Such a pretty purple iris in front of the soft mountain scenery! Beautiful sentiment, too! I have yellow iris flowers that come up every spring, but whenever I see the purple ones I'm reminded of my Mom when I was a young girl. Thank you for sharing your lovely card, Ros!!

This is such a gorgeous card, Ros and I think it has a rather wistful feel with the background hills. If I could sketch and paint like you, I don't think I would ever stamp again!

That is clearly an iris and it's gorgeous! I know Michele is pleased. I see no reason why you couldn't enter your own art.
