Little wonky Houses

Good morning friends...

The sun is just putting in an appearance after a night of heavy rain and high winds which have left a ton of leaves around...

Today I have a couple of my paintings to share - Anyone who follows me will know I have a penchant for little houses. I love those little driftwood ones up on Pinterest and I have something similar on my mantle

Aren't they sweet? The shells are lights by the way. Anyway I had a desire to paint some myself

...Cos I love the sea

I even pulled out a cover plate and used part of the die cut on the bottom of the card

Some old Rubons were perfect for the sentiment and whilst looking for them I discovered a bottle of Puffy Stuff, well why not...

Then again a little place not so close to the sea would be just as good, a solitary place to paint and sketch all day and maybe a little sewing too

And I added some of the negative bits from that coverplate to the top of the card. One thing I still love are my frame dies, though I don't know what this one is, probably a set from Aliexpress.

I think I may even do some Christmassy houses... Oh wait did I just say the "C" word...

Have a lovely day and thanks again for your visit and your kind comments

Till soon

love your little wooden houses and perfect painted versions. The little touches with the clothes on the line and lifebuoy ring are so cute ♥

Your little house paintings are adorably cute, yep I could live in one of those and be quite content! Love your display of houses too! Not many leaves have fallen here yet and I am not looking forward to the mess it makes nor the snow that will be here in a few months, summer is my favorite time, no shoes, no coats!!

You know I'd love to see a few Christmas-y ones, Ros - but these by the sea are just wonderful!

Fabulous cards Ros...I like the seaside too, though haven't seen it for a couple of years now! Mind you a paddle in a puddle would be appropriate today!

These are darling, Ros! I remember when you were making those adorable and amazing houses for your friends. A little cottage to myself is a lovely thought. I used to dream about houses, literally. The extra touches you added to the card designs are nice, too. Really love the Puffy Stuff on the beach scene. They're both enchanting!

What a sweet little row of houses sitting on your mantelpiece Ros, and I love your hand drawn and painted houses with the a flavour of the sea on the first..love the puffty stuff waves too, and something a little more rural on the second..absolutely charming and the uneven edge frame to finish, and the cover plate pieces with the feel of the waves coming up the beach on the first, and as decoration on the second. Gorgeous! x

Hi Ros, sorry for not commenting lately. Love your wooden houses on your mantle as well as your paintings, so quaint and lovely. The coverplates really add to your design. The puffy stuff adds dimension - love it! These are all so beautifully created Ros. Can't wait to see your 'christmas' houses :). Hope all is well, take care, hugs,

Darling little houses, Ros! By the sea or closer to home, both of these are cozy and fun! Can't wait to see those Christmas houses!

Awesome little houses, Ros! Oh, how wonderful it would be to have a little cottage by the sea! I was able to enjoy visiting my sister’s cottage many times. She now has a condo near the lake, which we enjoy at times. But, yes, it’s so relaxing and peaceful to be by the water! Anyways, darling houses and wonderful detail...well done!!

Oh Ros these are both just darling! I was instantly 'swept away' to a sea side adventure where I could hear the waves smash against the rocks and the sea gulls screeching outside the window with this first card! I too love the puffy stuff ... perfect addition! And, I love that you thought to put 'clothes out on the line' for your second house scene! So clever ... dang girl ... you are SO TALENTED!!
Thanks for fun & fabulous inspiration ... I leave your blog today with a warm feeling in my soul and a smile on my face ... thanks!

Your houses are so sweet, Ros! LOVE the one by the sea. Great texture added with your wavy coverplate. And I love the "puffy stuff" seafoam. I love to be by the sea too ... and this looks like a wonderful place to be! Your HOME-sweet-home is adorable with the leaves and plants and wooden sign. Very peaceful looking as long as someone else is dealing with the laundry on the line. :) Always love coming by! Love, Loll

Oh, you did say the C word rather early this, ahem : last, year! Lovely cards - and sometimes I wish I had a tiny house like that not the behemoth I have here. Though it certainly comes in handy when there's visitors...
