Miss Me?

 Hello!

I've been missing awhile, life has been busy and honestly I didn't think I'd ever get the inclination to craft again...

DH had his eye operation (Viscocanaloscopy). So of course we've been backwards and forwards to the hospital and another follow up is due tomorrow. He's doing fine but I have to administer several different eye drops every 4 hours. I spent 3 weeks at physio which seemed to cause more pain than not so I'm finished with that - I just keep up with my fitness class. The physio seems to think my pain problems are related to my stenosis but I'm not convinced...Anyway I am doing okay.

I've also spent a lot of time sewing...I seemed to have been bitten by the bug. I've made pyjamas a dressing gown, as well as various tops and tunics so card making has not been on the agenda... Until today.
Today I'm surprising you with not only two cards but Christmas cards...Yep, you read that right.

Watercolour and my own sketching

I scanned my drawing so I can print them out to make a batch, with different backgounds and a few variations

As you can see this one has trees and both of them are very sparkly but I couldn't capture that

That pretty scripty sentiment stamped and embossed, is from a company called Lesia Zgarda. I said I wouldn't buy anymore craft things  ( I'm still purging ) but I relented and bought a couple.

I hope you are all doing well? I am visiting when I can but honestly there aren't enough hours in the day for all the things I want to do and the things I have to do

Take care and stay safe my friends, thanks for your visit I will repay the compliment soon

Two cards with such sweet little houses Ros and love the added holly and berries, and the trees added in on the second. Glad you have been enjoying your sewing and you have certainly been busy..your machine must be red hot...lol, and glad that DH is doing fine after his eye op and sad for you that the physio seemed to be doing more harm than good, but at least you are keeping fit wih your classes. x

So good to see a post from you, Ros! I hope you and your husband get to feeling better. Sounds like you have been very busy lately. And, how fun to do some sewing. When one has more than one hobby, it’s great to change it up at times. Wonderful Christmas cards with the little houses and holly, so pretty! Your sketchings are always a delight to see! Beautiful and peaceful scene Ros, a great idea to scan them to create more! Glad to hear you are doing well and your hubby too, mine goes to the eye DR next Wednesday, he had a stick hit him in the eye (no, I swear I didn't do it lol) and might need surgery as well, he has blurred vision in that eye, not good when we are driving back and forth to the lake house! Seems the older we get it is always something isn't it. We had our booster shots yesterday and our flu shots 2 weeks ago, so we are for the moment I hope! Take care my friend, good to hear form you, and your sewing sounds like fun, I need to get my machine fired up and do the same!

You really have been busy Ros, but glad you are at least doing some things that you enjoy like sewing and of course making Christmas cards! They are both absolutely beautiful and totally make me feel like I'm in a serene (and not too cold!) Winter wonderland!! Lovely, lovely cards my friend! Hugs. :0)

You save all of your 'spare' moments for these darling cards, Ros! LOve your sweet house with its 'thatched' roof - at least that's what my imagination sees! and what I remember loving about England!
Take care of the both of you!

Sigh ... life isn't easy sometimes but please know I think of you often and am always delighted when I see you have a new post. Praying you & hubby find some relief from your ailments soon. We are going through some similar 'stuff' so ... 'I feel your pain' so to speak!

Yours cards are fabulous and how smart of you to scan them for batch printing ... very good idea! Going to be some very lucky folks this Christmas to receive a 'Ros Original' ... beautiful work my friend! Take care now!!

I hear you about not having enough time to do everything, Ros! Sounds like you've been good busy though. Love your Christmas cards! This is such a sweet cottage with the trees and without! Great idea to scan and print. I've started doing that with my calendars.

Sometimes you feel like sewing, sometimes you feel like card crafting, sometimes you feel like none of it. It's good to have options. I'm glad to hear you're feeling okay, but you do have your hands full and it's easy to get behind on the lesser things. I'm three days late getting here, so that's a case in point. Your cards are so very whimsical and clever and I absolutely love them. The scripty sentiment stamp is very pretty. It's good to know your DH's eye surgery went well, too. Happy holidays, Ros!

What a gorgeous pair of cards, Ros and such a good idea to be able to print them for batch making if you want to. Love the watercolour backgrounds and the debossed frame is perfect.
I hope DH's op was successful and that he starts to feel the benefit soon. Glad to hear you can still manage the exercise class despite the pain. You are one many talented lady and I bet your sewing is awesome too!

Take care.
Hugs

Life is supposed to get quieter and slower as we get older, but I find the opposite. It sounds as though you have been super busy and getting a lot accomplished. Power to you for making your own clothes. Sewing is something I never liked and just got frustrated. :)

I am loving your Christmas cards Ros. That sweet cottage is adorable and I love your wintery skies in the background. Beautiful drawings as always, my friend! xx

What a wonderful treat for your family and friends to get one of these original works of art for Christmas, Ros! They are sensational! You sound really busy. I'm glad the op went fine for DH and I'm glad you are finding enjoyment in sewing. I understand the need to take blogging breaks, but please don't leave us forever!! Hugs, Darnell

Your little sketched house is so cute, Ros! Love how you watercolored the background for both cards. Clever to scan and print your drawings so that you can make multiples.
I'm glad to hear that your DH's eye operation went well. I hope sewing has been a good distraction from your pain. :-)

Beautiful cards Ros, love the whimsical feel to these, and the scripty sentiment. Your wintery backgrounds make it seem cold, but I bet you it is nice and warm in those little houses! A great idea to scan your image for multiple cards. Good to hear hubby is doing fine. I know what you mean about life being busy, as you can see I haven't posted in months, but that will change soon! You have a lot going on right now, I hope you find some relief from your pain. Take care Ros, many hugs,

I am just trying to catch up and realise I have missed a lot over here. You have really impressed me with these little cards and all that sewing too. I come and go with sewing and recently card making has really taken over for me. There just isn't enough time to do it all. I know you know that feeling. Just keep doing what you are doing it is fantastic xx

I understand how you would not be in the mood for crafting - we all know that's a time where one should sit down and try something because it will lift the spirits but sometimes it's just too much. Anyhow, these cards are stunning! I have a feeling that, against all odds, you'll be a Christmas card specialist soon!
