Loose Watercolour

Hello and welcome to another year of blogging

I hope you are all well and looking forward to a better year, I can't wait for Spring to arrive.

A couple of days ago we celebrated our wedding anniversary and I had to come up with a card for my hubby. I had no inspiration whatsoever so I resorted to loose watercolouring similar to some I have done in the past. Fortunately it is also the theme for this months' challenge at the CAS Mix Up

It turned out just fine and hubby loved it but photographing it was not so easy thanks to the weather we've been having

I used my Gansai Tambi paints for this and a set of leaf stamps which I think came from AliExpress

The shine is from gold leaf which I randomly added using nuvo glue. I did the same to the word die which was cut from a scrap of painted cardstock and then glossed.
For the little banner, I stamped 'congratulations' and embossed it with my gold/silver mix.
These are one of my favourite cards to make, they are just so easy and I like the effect.

Well, I should have been seeing my consultant today but it's been re-scheduled for next monday and the following week my exercise class starts again. If I can last the first 20 minutes of class I will be fine Lol!

I'm planning on catching up with you all soon, till then
take care and be safe

Wonderful example of loose watercoloring for your stamped open leaves, Ros. I love your banner, die cut sentiment and added gold leafing. TFS and so pleased you joined us at CAS Mix Up. Thank you also Ros for the sweet hand painted Winter whimsical house scene thru the window Christmas card. I have kept ALL your very special hand painted cards, friend:-) Love and Hugs...Nancy

What a fantastic anniversary card Ros and no wonder hubby loved it, and I love the beautiful blue and green for the inked background with the leaves over the top in that loose way, and the touches of gold leaf and the gold banner with the sentiment and the die cut one over the top..a great look! x

Simply beautiful, I LOVE cards designed like this, CAS but yet makes such a BIG statement! Hope all is well with you! We woke up to 12 plus inches of new snow this morning on top of the 6" we already have and it is to snow most of the day! A good day to be in my craft room working away!! We are venturing out for breakfast though and they haven't plowed our road yet, if you never hear from me again you know we were buried in snow LOL, lets hope NOT!!

Happy Anniversary, Ros! this is a lovely card for your husband. I'm not one bit surprised he loved it. Your yearning for Spring is evident in the blue sky, and green leaves you've loosely represented here!
Winter has arrived with a vengeance but that doesn't bother me - I'm happy to stay tucked in!

Beautiful background & love the use of the gold leaf! Congratulations to you & hubby! So happy you got the BD card in time. Just looked at my notes & think I mailed you 2! Oh well--better than none--haha! Hoping they can help you with the pain. I'm getting another steroid shot for my shoulder next week. The first one made such a huge difference.

Happy anniversary to you and your hubby, Ros! This is a fabulous card! Your loose watercoloring makes a beautiful backdrop for the leaves. The shine from the gold leaf here and there is so pretty and the glossy die-cut sentiment with the metallic banner is eye-catching!

Happy New Year - I'm very much looking forward to another year of your creativity even if I always seem to be running late finding out about your latest creations. Not so much with this gorgeous card, though!
Good luck with the new appointment next week, I hope it will bring much needed relief!
