Jingle Belles ...

This is my second post today ... I've had time on my hands and the weather has been too miserable to go out visiting so I decided to make my 6th Christmas card with the Jingle Belles Rock challenge ... and this week the prompt is "Baby it's cold outside" ... card or tags have to include something warm - mittens, hats, scarves etc., or some fuzzy warm felt ...
I think I may have gone a bit too warm! ... I made mittens and a scarf ...

I just drew the shape and cut them out of felt ... and added some lace and a fuzzy flower with a gem

the glittered 'snow' word I had in my stash along with everything else ...
So there we are ... what do you think? too much? Ah well ...
Enjoy your weekend sweet friends

An angel to watch over you ...

Hi there ...
My internet connection has been playing up all morning ... so I'm way behind visiting you all ... I hope it rights itself soon ... it's driving me mad ...
Anyway it gave me time to make a card using the lovely colour combination from the Play Date Cafe ...

Such a pretty photograph ... looks like one of my favourite flowers ... the dahlia ... the ones that earwigs seem to adore ...

This pretty little angel has been keeping me company lately ... smiling out at me from my desktop ... so it seemed only fitting that I made a card with her ... and I used the papers from Lauren's new line at My Time Made Easy ... along with a few extras ...

That little gel stamp is actually a dark blue/purple ... but it is wet and dull here so maybe that isn't so clear ... and I couldn't resist photographing this angel amongst my flowers ... cheers up a rainy day

I hope you are having a lovely Saturday

Till soon

Sew Special ...

Hi there ...
I do hope you are all well ... I know that there have been snowstorms across the USA ... a cyclone in Australia ... and many other places are in a state of unrest ... so I am thinking about you all and wishing you well ... I also want to thank you all for your visits and comments ... I truly appreciate each and everyone and today I have a card to share ... I made this with you in mind ...  for the challenge at CR84FN ... this is the lovely rich colour scheme ...

... and this is my card ...

Beautiful Tim Holtz DP ... which I also stamped on in brown and red inks using my stamps from Crafty Secrets ...

I also stamped and fussy cut a red lace border from the same stamp set and added a cream lace border on top

The tag was from my stash and I stitched some turquoise buttons on to blend with the red ...
That little sparkly star was an earring ... I just cut off the back and glued it down ... a TIP ... when I use earrings that are for pierced ears ... I keep the little stud that slides on behind the ear ... this can then be used for your pins ... when attach to clothes (or cards) to prevent fingers being pricked and also stops the pin coming off

Before I finish ... I would just like to say a huge Thank You to Play Date Cafe for picking This card as one of the Fab 4 this week ... I am so very honoured and grateful

Till soon ... keep safe

All you need is LOVE ...

... is the new challenge at City Crafter Challenge this week ... Cheryl is hosting for us and has asked that we either use the word LOVE or include a HEART (or both) on our cards/projects ... Valentine's Day is only a couple of weeks' away so come on and join us ... AND we are being sponsored by non other than Laura's Vintage Garden on Etsy!  what a terrific prize she is giving away!

I used a total of 6 hearts here ... 5 glittery ones and a heart doily ... and I glittered up some Tattered Angels crepe paper edging ...

I think the black lace fits perfectly with the crepe paper and black hearts too ... and of course ... got to have a rose ...

My papers are a mix ... the beautiful floral cream and black is a digital paper from the DigiChick and the green paper is Papermania Christmas paper ...
Kinds gets you in the Valentine mood doesn't it? .... I hope you will join us this week at CCCB if you need inspiration ... here are the links to the rest of the DT

Keep safe

Colour Splash

This is my second post today ... I have a card that I made for 2 challenges ... unlike so many of you ... I can never seem to make one thing for a number of challenges ... I don't think my brain can handle it ... So I have combined the Color Splash challenge at The Play Date Cafe ... using this fabulous inspirational photo ...

With the Sketch Challenge at WaltzingMouse ...

And this is my take on both ....

actually it is a color splash because I used the same technique as I did with THIS card ... I literally splashed black acrylic paint onto white CS ....

My rose is handmade ... not sure that you can see the "dew drops" created with glossy accents .... I stamped white CS using the WaltzingMouse Text - It stamps ... then used Spellbinder dies to get my scalloped edge ...

The other stamps used are a Penny Black (foliage) for the leaf stem and a digital Hero Arts (friends) stamp from Two Peas ...
I hope you are having a great start to the week ... I'll be back tomorrow
Keep safe

EDIT.... just seen that I can also enter The Shabby Tea Room challenge too with this card
"Get Creative" is the new challenge today set by Clare ... which means NO patterned papers allowed and a handmade embellishment ... Whoopi! I got 3 challenges in ... that's a record breaker for me!

House Guest ...

I have a guest staying with me for a few days ...  she's  a beautiful girl ... and oh so sweet ...
... meet Chucky ...

My friend had to go into hospital for a few days so I am cat sitting and it's good to have a cat in the house again ... though I confess I didn't sleep much last night ... a bit concerned about my guest who has rather taken to Mikey ... She came to stay once before and spent most of the time either under his bed or on his knee whilst he was trying to work.
I am also suffering with my neck and shoulder ... badly ...I've been to Pilates  and hope that maybe that and the Panadol will help ... it's kind of miserable and typing on my computer doesn't help.
But I wanted to thank Stella for this award ... and for thinking of me ...

"Thank you" it is so thoughtful of you ... I believe I have to tell 3 things abut myself and pass it on ...
well here we go ...
1. I sometimes have psychic experiences ... (spooky huh?)
2. My favourite seasons are Spring and Autumn
3. One of the best things I ever did was start blogging ... I love all the friendships I have made
As for passing this on ... there are so many of you that I want to share this with so please feel free to take this ...
Back soon
