Love

Good morning

It's time for a new challenge at City Crafter and this week Stella is our lovely hostess

The theme she has chosen is
You Matter

Stella is asking that we create a card or project to let someone know that they matter

DH and I took Stella's son out to dinner last Friday ... He's doing his Masters Degree here at Liverpool University - My, what a lovely young man he is ... such a credit to his parents and what a great evening we had

I had some fun playing with watercolour using Gelatos for this challenge ...

I watered down the red and gold Gelatos onto an acrylic stamping block and smooched them onto a scrap of watercolour paper and added a few splats ... These are quickly becoming my trade mark I think lol!

There's a scrap of pink sequined organza  just behind the watercolour paper and you can also see a strip of stars that are on acetate which I rescued from an old shop bought card

Our Guest Designer this week is Maria f. Winner of challenge week 244 ... Click the link on her name and go visit her blog ... Maria has a wonderful style and you'll love seeing her creations

As always this week's winner will also be offered a GD spot with us so come and share your creations for those people who matter to you.
Don't forget to check out the projects up on the City Crafter Blog too!

There are a few challenges I like to enter this card at ...
Those lovely ladies at Just Us Girls  are having a Word Week challenge

Crafty Card Makers  - A new (to me) challenge blog is also about Love

And Love is the theme at The Mixed Media Card Challenge

Wishing you a lovely day

Scrap Card 3

Hello!
How are you all?

I'm pleased to say that my rash is improving since my visit to hospital last week ... I have a biopsy scheduled for the beginning of March ... Until then I have more lotions and potions to use... My morning has to be a regime of applying creams and waiting time till the next thing is applied. I have a special shampoo too which I hate! I have to apply it every day and wait 15 mins before rinsing and the static it causes is ridiculous! I keep telling myself in a few months time this will all be a distant memory... sigh

Anyhoo, I have another card to share that I made using up my scraps and a few little black pearls

The little bird and flower were left overs as was the paper

I added some little black pearls to the Chloe stem to make it a bit more special because these Thank You cards are going out to special blog friends ...

Right now I'm busy working on Valentine cards for my Thursday group ... they love card making but coming up with something that will keep them going for 90 minutes and for 20+ people is a lot of work .. It means coming up with cards that have quite a few things to 'stick' on and then cutting out all those bits for them ...

My dining area is almost finished and I will share some photo when I can ...

Have a lovely day ... Thanks for popping in - I'll be back tomorrow

Colourful

Good morning everyone

The prompt has been chosen for us by Manuela
The prompt is Colourful

I kinda wracked my brains for this one and came up with a few things around me
This is a wall or rather door hanging that I made years ago - The original post is here ... It was one of my favourite makes and still hang on my craft room door today ... I love the Colourfulness of it

As you may know we've been doing a bit of decorating here and this is photo of a new canvas that hangs on my wall ...

Pretty colourful I think...
And of course there's my designer papers ... It doesn't get more colourful than this one

And a favourite Christmas scented candle that a friend at Thursday club gave to me

It smell beautiful and it the colour is just so vibrant

What are you finding colourful?
We'd love you to share with us at Our Beautiful World
Hop over to the Blog and see what my lovely team mates have come up with

Have a beautiful Sunday

Spring Colours

Hello

It's still cold here but thankfully dry ...
I haven't had any time for card making recently what with decorating, sewing and painting for the new look dining room but I have a card to share that I made a few weeks ago ...

My blog friend Wendy sent me some pretty Spring coloured papers and I used one of them on this card

I just love those pretty flowers ... kinda cheerful don't you think?
The little bicycle is a die and stamp set from Clearly BesottedStamps

I had no plan for this card ... it's just one of those when you have new papers and stamps and want to try them out

I hope you are staying warm and enjoying your day ... Thanks for visiting

Till soon

With Love

Hello ...

We have glorious sunshine this morning even though it's freezing cold ... The sun makes me feel a lot more cheerful and DH has taken the opportunity to go golfing

I have another card to share using up scraps ...

The rose was a free stamp that came with a magazine and I thought I'd try painting it with Gelatos and I used my new Wink of Stella pen but try as I might I can't get a photo of the sparkle

I'm enjoying using white embossing for my sentiments lately too ... The leaves are cut from a die set from Clearly Besotted ... A terrific company ... the service is so quick! I have the stamps to go with the dies but I used Distress stains on these and some gold ink to add dots ... That's often how my rose leaves look in the garden

I hope you are having a good week ... Be safe

City Crafter 247

Hello from a very cold Liverpool!

It's time for a new challenge at City Crafter and this challenge was chosen for us by the lovely Char who will no longer be on the team owing to health issues
We will miss her very much and we are all hoping that she will make a speedy recovery

We do however, have a new team member joining us - The talented Samra (click on her name to go visit her blog)
A warm welcome to Samra ... We know you will love her creations as much as we at City Crafter do

The theme Char picked this week is
Lace and Roses

And of course that means to make a card or project that includes lace and roses

I don't do many shabby style cards anymore though my love of them still remains ... I prefer to make ones with a cleaner style often throwing in a little something extra

So here's what I came up with this week

I used one of my wine labels which you can get Here -  This time I left it just as it is ... no stamping - That gorgeous rose is a button (from my friend Kirsty)

Dare I say that once again this card was created mostly from left overs ... I "dipped" the tips of the vellum flourish with gold embossing powder to tie in with the gold paint splats and also added some sparkle to the rose

This card went off to another blog friend Wendy who celebrated her birthday last week

Our Guest Designer this week is Kara Lynne - Winner of challenge week 241 Her creations are so unique! Click the link and take a look around her blog
As always we will be offering a GD spot to this weeks winner so I do hope you'll join in our challenge and go and see what the rest of our team have created on the City Crafter Blog this week ...

Enjoy your day and stay safe
Thanks for your visit
