Stencilling - AAA Cards

Good morning...
I hope you enjoyed your Easter weekend

Lucky for me that I made a few cards using the Die Cut Stencilling technique...
AAA Cards has a challenge featuring stencils this week

Though it's not a traditional stencil, I hope my card fits the bill

I cut a wreath out on my Cameo and used non permanent adhesive to hold it to my card whilst I blended some distress inks over it

I love these colours together ... Evergreen Bough and Wilted Violet. The sentiment (Clearly Besotted) was stamped and embossed onto a piece of black CS and a few sequins added to finish it off

It's Bank Holiday here in the UK and my DH isn't golfing, the weather is still not great but it's a good excuse to take a drive and maybe have a pub lunch

Enjoy your day my friends

Till soon

The Card Concept

Hello!
It's been a beautiful Spring day here and everywhere the daffodils are in full bloom

I'm just popping in with a card I made for The Card Concept Challenge (Clean and layered category)

I just love this photo!  Going on the colours and the Spring theme here's my card

I cut a circle frame and sponged through a stencil in 2 shades of pink ink before overlaying with a Cameo cut spring wreath

The little bunny was also cut on my Cameo and then sponged with ink

I hope your having a lovely day

Hello Spring

Good morning...

Well, it doesn't look a bit like Spring here... It's very dull and overcast, nevertheless I have a Spring card to share with you this morning - I was so taken by the Die Stenciling creations done by the talented Yana Smakula up on the SimonSays Blog this week  that I got out my inks and made a few cards

I actually used my Cameo to cut these shapes together with some masking paper but I did also try using just plain CS and temporary spray adhesive and it worked just as well

I used both distress inks and dye inks and given that this is a very inexpensive CS I'm pleased with the result...

I also inked up some scrap pieces to cut out the tiny butterflies
I could spend hours making these cards, I really love this technique and it's pretty foolproof - Give it a go....

Have a beautiful day and thanks so much for your visit

City Crafter 304

Hello and Good morning ... I hope your week is off to a good start

Today my sweet friend Stella is hosting the challenge at City Crafter with the theme
On Cloud Nine

Stella is actually coming to stay with me in a few weeks time and we'll both be on cloud nine!

So the challenge is to create a project that features a cloud or clouds
This is what I came up with

I've used a new die "Home" by Sweet Pea Designs on my card and Memory Box cloud dies - The word 'New' was cut on my Cameo

As you can see I cut the clouds twice - I thought it would be fun to give them a little definition
I also die cut 'Home' a few times and layered it up, then cut just the house part again using up some scraps of paper to make the little house stand out

I'm thrilled to say that our Guest Designer this week is Marie of Baileyrosy.com
Marie was our winner from week 297 and although she lives in Greece, this talented lady hails from right here in my home town of Liverpool! Please hop on over and say Hi and check out her beautiful creations...

Don't forget to go visit the City Crafter Blog to see what the rest of the team are sharing this week and link up your Cloud creations with us for a chance to be our next Guest Designer

Have a lovely day and take care

Hide

Good Morning...I hope you are enjoying your day

The word prompt this week at
is 'Hide'

It took me awhile to find some photos for this but here we go

Do you see the bee hiding under the leaves? I took this photo on a hot day last summer ... the bee had been gorging on the pollen and seem to fall asleep whilst doing so - either that or he was drunk!

He was in there for hours - literally and then stagger out to crawl under the leaves Lol!

This little sparrow I caught hiding from the rain inside a palm tree....

And this squirrel was about to hide a nut in one of our plant pots! It drives my husband mad when he comes out to find the plants turfed every day

It took us a while to find out who the culprit was haha!

Finally I had to share one of Gipsy hiding under a chair

She loves lying on paper bags and spends hours hiding from Ginger cat under that chair

Hop on over to the Blog to see what everyone else is sharing this week ...

Have a beautiful day
