Winter

Hey there ...

It's really wintery here - so cold! Even though the sun has put in an appearance...

I've been making a few Winter themed cards today, a little different from the traditional Christmas cards as there are many people who are either not religious or don't observe the Christian meaning but appreciate a card

These are so easy to assemble as I only used a stamp (by Inkylicious) and a few die cuts.

Having a Misti, stamping is so easy and the little stag head and stars I cut on the Cameo whilst the branch is a new favourite from The Works. I also used red liquid pearls on the branch and just alternated where I placed the star

And slightly different, I cut some stags in white and added a silver star wand

I hope you like them

Have a lovely day and stay warm

Till soon

Winter Wonderland 3

Hello there...

I have my last Winter Wonderland card to share ... It's been a bit manic here at the moment preparing for the last craft class this year at my Thursday club where they will be making Christmas cards and tags ...
My lovely friend Pat is off to NY this week so I'll be on my own at club too.

I guess many of you are busy this week preparing for Thanksgiving so I'll keep this brief

This is probably my favourite of the 3 ... I really like the soft colours

Hubby has asked me to make some of these for his friends so maybe I'll keep those tree stamps out

Have a lovely day and enjoy your upcoming Thanksgiving Day

City Crafter 339

Hello...

It's Tuesday and that means a new challenge at

This week Marina is hosting with the theme
Gold Finger

Marina is asking that we use a gold medium on our projects eg. Ink, Paint, Gold leaf or Pen
Not just gold card

Did I need a reason to get out my paints again Lol!

I made 2 cards for this challenge

This one features ink blending and gold paint splatters both on the BG and the vellum

Sometime ago my sweet blog friend Sue Lelli sent me some butterflies and I painted them gold to add to my cards

My second card is done using Gansai Tambi watercolour paint, splatters of Mr Huey's calico and splatters of gold paint

I also used gold embossing powder for the sentiment

Our Guest Designer this week is Lenet Mos ... Winner of week 335
Lenet and the team have some more projects to inspire you up on the City Crafter Blog - Hop on over and take a look.

Have a lovely day and thanks so much for your visit

Our Beautiful World

Happy Sunday friends

Mandy has chosen the new prompt at Our Beautiful World and it's
Worn
You can interpret the word anyway you want and I have a few photos that fit the prompt

Rock worn away by the sea constantly thrashing against it to leave amazing patterns and texture

Constantly changing over centuries and sometimes leaving shapes that look like animals or reptiles

Then there are things deliberately made to look worn

Little vintage looking items as though worn by time...

And what about these....

Worn for Halloween when you choose to be a pumpkin

Or worn to the football Match

Worn to golf

Or maybe just plain worn out

Hop on over to the Blog to see what everyone else is sharing this week and check out the upcoming prompts too

Have a beautiful day

Winter Wonderland 2

Hi there... I hope you are staying warm
It's really cold here Brrr!

Here is another of my Winter Wonderland cards which perfectly fits the bill at
where the prompt is
 Chill

Again a watercolour BG and double stamped trees ... this stamp was an unmounted one from Ebay and I really like it, but then I love all types of tree stamps

I always use either acrylic paint or Mr Huey's for the splashes of white ... They sit better on the watercolour. For the snow I used embossing paste and glitter

Wishing you a cosy day

Watercolour Challenge

Hello there...

I was going to share another Winter Wonderland card today but instead I have a card I've made for the

The time is flying by and if I don't do it now I'll probably forget so here's what I came up with

I guess you're thinking "What? A beach scene in November?" The thing is, whilst I was looking through my stamps for anything with text... This one just happened to fall out and land on my desk, so I thought, go with it...

I only used part of the text and it's Inkylicious stamp that I really love. I used Gansai Tambi paints on ordinary CS and then some white acrylic to get the 'sea foam'

Our weather here today is far from beach weather, we've had everything from thunder and hailstones to bright sunshine...

I hope your enjoying your day ...
Till soon - be safe
