Hi there...
Well Pat and I had a lovely afternoon yesterday and one of the things we decided to try was the tissue paper technique using watercolours.
Having let my piece dry over night, I made a card this morning which I had intended to enter at CAS Mix Up but I missed the deadline...
Anyway here's my card
I'm really pleased at how well the technique worked out ... Here's a closer look at the texture the tissue paper gives
This card is heading on over to The Netherlands... A little Thank You note to Stella and her family for all they did for us.
I'll definitely have a go at this technique again, it's the kind of thing you can do when you don't have inspiration but want to play...
Before I go, many thanks to all of you who sent well wishes for my cat Ginger.. He is much better and though he wouldn't eat the prescription wet food, he has taken to the prescription dry food so I feel a weight has lifted and I'm hopeful he will stay well. Now if only I could find a cure for my eczema, the itch drives me insane!
Have a lovely day and thanks so much for your visit

Well, I'd say this would have been the winner & I know Stella will love it! I haven't checked out that technique, but you've made me want to, Ros--gorgeous texture on those hearts & a wonderfully designed card! Hurrah--so happy Ginger Cat will eat the food he needs to be on. Bummer about the eczema--hope you get relief soon!
Stunning...and I am intrigued as to the tissue technique...will have to hunt that one out when like you I have caught up with several jobs!! ...i.e. washing and ironing.
It's a really fabulous textural effect.
I like it!
Your tissue background is totally gorgeous and, of course, you made the most beautiful CAS card with it. You have an eye for perfectly balanced perfection. Love the stitches down the side, too. It's good to hear Ginger is eating something.
Fabulous technique, wonderful colors and so pretty on a CAS card.
I am sorry you missed our deadline, Ros..But thrilled to see your Gorgeous tissue paper hearts and stunning CAS design. TFS my friend. Our next CAS Mix Up Challenge starts on Tuesday August 1st and I am thrilled to be hosting:-) Stay tuned!!
A big hug to you and Ginger...
Gorgeous, Ros... I don't know this technique, but it sure is a winner! Love your card!!!!
What a beautiful card and love the technique. I've never tried that one so that's definitely going on my 'to-do' list! xx
The texture looks amazing and those are your signature colors. Lovely work Ros. Yay for Ginger cat! Hugs!
Wow, another gasp-inducing card, Ros!! I'm sure you would have been in the winner's gallery AT CASMU if you hadn't missed the deadline! It's stunning!! So glad to hear that Ginger is doing better, but I'm sorry about your itching. I hope you get some relief soon and I hope you have a great weekend!! Hugs, Darnell
Wow, this is totally gorgeous!! You sure 'rocked' the tissue paper technique and the colors are beautiful! I had hope to give this a try as well, but I seem to never have time for 'me'....too many irons in the fire as they say! Glad to hear Ginger cat is doing better....you would not even believe how many outside cats we are feeding, unbelievable!
Beautiful card Ros, the colours are gorgeous! I have only done this technique twice before but I love the effect so will do it many more times in the future.
A huge Thank you for your Gift :-) it has arrived today whilst I was out shopping. I will certainly be playing with it very soon. XXX
Hugs Mau xx
Sorry forgot to say, Happy to hear Ginger is improved. Do you like honey! try eating a spoonful every day! sometimes it helps skin problems. Manuka Honey is best if you can get some! My hubby's psoriasis has almost vanished since he started eating honey, now has it on porridge or bread every single day.
Best I can suggest I am afraid :-/ xxx
That is an interesting texture - the new things people constantly come up with! Will have to try, too... one of those days! Good to know Ginger is doing better.
Sorry I missed this card Ros...It is amazing! Yes I enjoyed the tissue technique very much, as you can get some fantastic results...as your card proves! Great colours and texture and the prettiest of layering. Love the black cross stitch too...finishes your card off beautifully x So glad Ginger boy is on the mend x
Another beautiful card, Ros, love that technique!
Pretty card with pretty layers!
This gem arrived at my doorstep and IRL it's even more gorgeous. You know how I love everything you create with colours, paints and using sifferent techniques. And on top of that in my favorite colour combo!
