That's the thought that came into my head when I saw this card by Shari Carroll...
I mean I've stencilled with hearts, balloons, clouds and various other things that I've cut from my dies, but never thought to do one with my frame dies... Sheesh!
Anyway I rectified that today... I needed a birthday card for my husbands DIL Hannah and I don't think she's a "flowers and hearts" girl so I thought this would be better
Actually she's an architect by profession so maybe she will appreciate the geometric like design... Either way I enjoyed making this.
I opted to keep it pretty clean and just stamped and embossed the MFT flowers and leaves.. Deciding on where and how to put the sentiment took a little longer but eventually I kept that pretty simple too with a non fussy sentiment on vellum that still allows the design to show through
I hope you are having a lovely Sunday... We are due more rain today but I'm not complaining, it's not been a bad summer at all and I much prefer the cooler temperatures.
Till soon, be safe

Yes I am with you on using die cuts as stencils but sometimes the most obvious is the hardest! Yes often choosing the sentiment and layout takes the most time x Gorgeous geometric layout and I am sure as an architect she'll love it.
What a brilliant idea! I'm continually inspired by the things I see when I'm out blog hopping. Great idea to use just an outline for the flowers and leaves as you've got your color in the background. I think it's fabulous, Ros!
Keep a look out--I may show up at your door--haha! We could sure use some rain & cooler temps! This is an absolutely delightful BD card, Ros--love the colors, design, flowers--everything!
What a beautiful card, Ros! I love the colours and the simple designed flowers. Kisses, my friend.
Beautiful card, Ros, I'm sure she will love it!
Creatively beautiful!! LOve the softness of your cards always and of course the colors! The kittens (9 of them) are doing great, I hope to post a few pictures later this week..I have one totally tamed and am working on 5 of the bigger kittens....wish I could send you a few LOL!!
Oh, so pretty with fabulous design, Ros! Wonderful colors and perfect touch with the vellum! Your husband's DIL will love it! Take care and have a great week!
This is so smart!! I will have to try this myself, put it on my "to make list" :-) Love the colors you used and the use of vellum! Great card!
What a fabulous card!!!!
Gorgeous result Ross, hope you are doing well, miss you over at DD.xx[aNNie]
Love the bright, graphic look of this.
Lovely choice of colors - and the vellum is a wonderful touch for a gorgeous card!
Color blocking! Don't see how an architect could not appreciate this. Really fun and different Ros.
Such a beautiful card with a happy feel. Lovely color combo too.
