Well this is my last week as Guest Designer for
and it's been a blast!
This week is Photo week
As a new school term approaches, many of you will be able to relate to this photo and there is so much you can take from this image to make your creation your own.
Here's what I came up with
I took inspiration from both the colours and the numbers, and yes a little bit of a school theme with my sentiment...
A new term often means a new school for some, that can be quite daunting, so I thought this would be a fun card to send
A new term often means a new school for some, that can be quite daunting, so I thought this would be a fun card to send
I started by cutting a card panel smaller than my card base and printed "New School" in the top corner, then stamped and coloured the hen using Copics and stamped and embossed 'Awesome'. After that it was easy to arrange the number dies around and cut them out keeping the little inside pieces I needed.
I ink blended the front of my card just where the negative of the numbers would show through and popped the whole panel up with foam
A little bit of twine and that was it.
I love to see how everyone interprets a photo challenge so please come and share your ideas with us at
Don't forget to check out the creations that the team have to inspire you this week
Thanks so much to the lovely team for having me this month!
Till soon

Oh, what a fun card, Ros! Love what you did with the numbers! It makes for a wonderful kid’s card...so cute!!
Great interpretation of the inspiration photo. Fun and fabulous card and such a thoughtful card to send. Thank you for all your wonderful inspiration this month Ros X
Such fun we had with you for the month of August! Great finale card with the random numbers. Thanks for joining in with us this month.
Fantastic! That chicken really gets around and makes everything more fun. Love how you use your stuff, and you have the most creative ideas. You're just full of it... creativity, that is. Thinking of you and Ginger boy... Hugs.
This is really fun with the cute chick/hen and the number cut outs, and the sentiment work so well for the school theme. Hope your Ginger boy is improving. x
Fantastic interpretation of the photo, Ros! And the card is so much fun with the numbers dancing around the hen! Ink-blending the card base just under the negative of the numbers is a great idea. Hideko xx
That little critter is adorable sitting among the scattered numbers! This is so cool how you die cut the numbers and inked behind them. Thanks so much for joining us this past month as our Guest Designer!
Hi Ros,
I've been away and am just catching up, so first I would like to say how sorry I am to hear about Ginger, and I hope his recovery is going well. You really have been in the wars with your own shoulder and the plumbing issues on top of everything. However, your cards are still gorgeous and I hope that spending some time crafting takes your mind off things for a while.
I'm happy to see your fabulous hen/chick again and this fun design is so well thought through and beautifully done.
Take care of yourself.
Hugs

So much fun and happy Ros!!!
LOL So maybe that crazy chick can be their new bestie and their new school. The number cut outs are really fun.
Such a fabulous, cheery back-to-school card! Love the numbers (reminds me that I have some number dies somewhere in my collection...) and the chicken with the mop of 'hair' is just too charming! You've been an amazing GD with us for the past month, with your incredibly inspiring cards. We'll miss you!
hugs~carol
The crazy hen again? What a cute card - and you really did take some of the daunting aspects out of the first day of school!
'Awesome' card!! I love how you did the numbers, you are so creative!! Hard to believe school is in session again!!
This is such a fun card and will surely cheer up someone who is going through the trauma of a new school. Thanks for being our guest this month, Ros. All of your cards were fantastic.
You were a GREAT Guest Designer! LOVE that image and how you die cut the numbers!
