Birthdays and Leaves

Hello there...
How are things with you?

Since I last blogged, I had a birthday... My husband and son took me out to dinner, I had even more visitors, lunch with the girls and I met up for coffee with my old boss who gave me a tour of the now fully modernised place I used to work.
Normally I kinda live a quiet life, but for the last month it's been an endless stream of visitors, visiting and meet-ups, so right now, much as I have enjoyed seeing people, I feel like a leaf that has been blown in all directions like on these cards

A couple of friends also have birthdays around the same time as me and I managed to squeeze in time to make 2 very similar cards... It was just easier to use what I had cut out

I used the last of a piece of painted card to cut out all the leaves

and I still have a few over

Which is fortunate...

As I have a special card to make - A sympathy card for my friend who just lost her Mum

More on that another time... I need to catch up with your blogs so I'll say bye bye for now

Have a lovely day

~ Ros ~

Happy belated birthday, Ros! Sounds like you’ve been quite busy. How sweet and fun to meet up with many friends and a former boss! I’m with you when things get too busy it’s great now to take time to rest. Your cards are so lovely with the pretty leaves against the white. Take care and have a good rest of the week!

Happy belated birthday wishes Ros and I'm pleased to hear you spent the time with family and friends to celebrate. I can imagine that such a busy time coming so close to Christmas, even when you are enjoying yourself, can leave you with a need for some downtime. I actually can't picture you allowing yourself much downtime because you would be itching to get into your craft space to create something beautiful in no time! These are a lovely pair of cards Ros and the touches of sparkle on the leaves make them look so artsy and 'boutiquie' if you know what I mean. Just gorgeous!
I hope 2019 is a good year for you.
Hugs

These leaves are beautiful, and the bit of glitter on each one looks so pretty and love the white foliage and also the bits of card which you have placed across make a great place to put the leaves. The strip of glitter card looks perfect over the top of the lilac patterned piece too. x

That's how it was for me in the last couple of weeks leading up to Christmas. It's great fun, but then you need a break. It sounds like you had a nice birthday! Wonderful that you had all these beautiful parts ready and waiting for your cards. A little touch up here and there, some beautiful sentiments, and your fabulous card crafting skills and they're good to go! Gorgeous, Ros!

Happy Belated Birthday Ros. Sounds like you had a good one. Beautiful cards, love the colour combinations and your designs (which always wow me!). It's nice to have left overs from previous projects that you can use. The bit of glitter just adds that extra special touch. Have a wonderful week!
