Hello and welcome...
Today's card is for the CAS Mix Up Challenge
I've only played there a few times and yet they are celebrating their 3rd birthday!
Happy Birthday and many thanks to the team who bring amazing challenges every month.
As you can see, this month we are being challenged to do the faux stained glass technique, something I have never done before. Honestly? I really wasn't a fan, though I love colourful sun catchers so thought I'd try and make something on that idea....
I wanted it colourful and rough and I surprised myself... It was so easy. I used acetate from packaging and various copics to add a mish mash of colour
Then die cut the circle frame twice and embossed the top one in different colour embossing powders - slotted everything back together, omitting the original circles, and roughly covered all the acetate with Mod Podge dimensional gloss. I also die cut a sentiment and embossed it the same way, adding copic and gloss covered acetate for the star
My stamping is the flourish, also embossed.
So there you go, that's my colourful, rough version of faux glass and I quite like it.
Have a happy day

Wow Ros, this is really eye catching and tbe acetate has worked beautifully with this more geometrical shape of die, with all the circles in a multitude of colours, and the embossing looks great with the mixture of colours too. Beautifully done! x
I like your stained glass card very much. It's a great idea!

And....you should like it Ros...It's a beauty x Very unique, colourful and so very eye catching. I would never have thought to use the Mod Podge dimensional gloss and boy does it look good. So glad you gave the fun technique a go....Glorious design and thank you for joining in The CAS Mix Up Challenge x
Thank you Ros for your kind words about the team....most appreciated x.
Magical card indeed, Ros. Lovely rainbow colours. Kisses, my friend.
Fabulous, Ros! You always embrace the challenges in an exceptional way! Love your stained glass with texture! It reminds me of old stained glass that is sometimes rough. Love the embossed circles and those gorgeous colors! Thanks so much for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up!
I love the look of this technique and have always meant to do it again. You chose the perfect die for it and with your colorful background it truly fits the sentiment. You took it to the next level by embossing the die outline, too. It turned out fantastic, Ros!
I quite like it too. The way you added the color and the layering of the die cut makes for great interest. Great job Ros!
This looks amazing, Ros, love your random colours and the effect with the embossing powders - fabulous card
It truly looks magical, Ros! I love your bright colors! That looks like quite a puzzle to put back together! My goodness, it looks like I missed a few of your posts, but I enjoyed scrolling down and seeing all of your beautiful cards!

LOVE your stained glass look and the die you chose! You are so great at these challenges!
Gorgeous colorful faux stained glass CAS card design, Ros. I loved how you heat embossed your die cut circle too. TFS my friend. Hugs..Nancy
Creative faux stained glass, Ros--fun technique coloring the acetate with COPICs!
Faux stained glass... Another technique to try, as the list continues to get longer and longer while I don't even get to create anything at all. Your card really is an eye catcher - and the motive reminds me of a bunch of soap bubbles, glittering in the sunlight.
