Scrap Card

Hello there...

How are you all? I've had a few sleepless nights and feel shattered. I suffer from restless leg syndrome and it drives me insane...
My doctor recently gave me some tablets to induce sleep which do help but if any of you have any tips or tricks let me know. I've tried just about everything over the years and haven't travelled on an airplane for almost a year because it is so bad.

Anyway you don't come here to listen to my moaning Lol... So today I am sharing another card made from some scraps

Bits of alcohol ink pieces cut into balloons, a spare die cut frame and a piece of multi embossed card die cut (partially)  using the cityscape die

I don't think I'll ever get around to using all my scraps but they do make for an unusual card don't they

I hope your day is going well... enjoy the upcoming weekend

Till soon

I swear Ros you can pick up ANY scrap and make into something wonderful...want me to send you all mine LOL...but what a beautifully constructed card this is!! I have the restless leg syndrome too and have many, many sleepless nights. But I have tried a lotion recommended to me from someone that is from Bath & Body. It is one of their aromatherapy energy lotions Orange Ginger. It helps a lot, but am sure it doesn't work for everyone, my Mom told me that years ago they used ginger to cure lots of things..might be worth a try. I feel your pain...literally!!

You certainly know how to use your scraps to the fullest Ros...your card is AMAZING!! Love those Al ink balloons and how you've woven them in between the frame and floating above that gorgeous city scape! Lovely, lovely card my friend! My middle daughter suffers from RLS and she's only 27 and it drives her absolutely nuts too...hope you both find relief soon!!

What a beautiful card Ros, and the alcohol ink balloons look fabulous over the mixed metallic embossed buildings, and the added frame is a great addition to the design, and the large sentiment goes perfectly. I do sometimes find it difficult to get my legs in a comfortable position and am therefore restless, but it doesn't seem to keep me awake too much. I know that this time of year I don't do enough walking, and I think that when the muscles in your legs are fitter they do rest better but don't quote me..lol. x

Another beautiful card Ros! I love what you do with your scraps - amazing! Oh Ros, I totally understand about how you feel with RLS. I used to get it quite often, but I since am taking a mineral supplement it has gone away. I add drops to my water, coffee, tea everyday and not only has it helped my RLS but also helps with leg and feet cramps. what I take is called Aussie Trace Minerals. I hope you find relief soon! Take care.

Great use of the scraps Ros. Love the oversized balloons and how you've used only part of the city skyline die cut. A very unique and wonderful card.
I have never heard of restless leg syndrome but it must be awful when you can't get your sleep x

Oh, Ros, I've suffered from RLS since I was in my 20s and it's kept me awake many a night. Not unusual to fight it until 4 or 5 in the morning. Might as well not go to bed at all! Last night it woke me up at 2:30 in the morning and I thrashed around for a while, then finally got up... you know the drill. Lately I've found it helps if I elevate the feet of our Tempurpedic bed (adjustable) and sleep on my back. I could go on and on. I'm ready to ask for some knock out pills. I avoid early appointments because I never know if I'm going to be awake all night. Just want you to know I understand. Anyway, I LOVE your card! Those alcohol ink balloons are fabulous floating up over the city skyline. Wow! And how great the skyline looks with the multi-layer embossing. There's always a beautifully artistic touch to your cards.

Another fabulous card Ros and how beautiful do those balloons look from scraps...the colours really make the balloons! Die cuts often look better cut from scraps...but apart from you...how often do we remember to do it! Have a good weekend and hope the legs get sorted , i see you have plenty of tips to work through. xx

Unusual but divine design, Ros! You always give your cards your inimitable style! I am bookmarking this because I've never thought to make balloons from my alcoholic scraps and I love how they look! Thank you once again! They look sensational over the mini framed cityscape! I'm sorry to hear you suffer from RLS. I'm a firm believer in Ambien, been taking it for years. Good luck finding something that works for you, my friend! Enjoy the weekend and (hopefully) sleep well! (Hmmm, maybe a hot toddy before bed?) Hugs, Darnell

Sorry to hear that you suffer from RLS, Ros! I had a co-worker who suffered from it. I remember she said that peppermint lotion helped her. I sure hope you can get some relief soon. Your card is very beautiful with the alcohol scraps. You are so talented with design and using up your scraps. I need to use up mine more often. Thank so much for the inspiration! Take care, hugs!!

I'm sorry to hear that you have a trouble sleeping, Ros...
But you're amazing because you can make a fantastic card like this, using scraps even when you're feeling shattered. Such a great mix of alcohol inked pieces, a heat-embossed cityscape die-cut, and a popped-up window. And most of all, fabulous design!

What a bummer the RLS is giving you fits! Wish I knew something that would help. The balloons from AI scraps are really beautiful! Love your unique card, my friend!

There should be actual balloons in that kind of coloring! Love it! Hope you've gotten more sleep recently... may the RLS has been getting better with more sun outdoors? I understand more dopamine helps... more of which is produced once spring is there?
