CAS Stencil Challenge

Happy Saturday!

I hope you are well... I'm just popping in with a very quick card for this month's challenge over at

As you can see the challenge is to stencil over patterned paper and like many of you, I have a ton of papers which I never use now. I bought them mostly to use for my Thursday group and even though I got rid of plenty when I left, I still have boxes of them.
Anyway, here's what I came up with

I cut a stencil using a leaf die and stenciled them using Iced Spruce DI over some grey and white paper

The leaves looked a little bland so I took a white gel pen and drew in the leaf veins - A stacked die cut stem and a silver embossed sentiment finished the card.

That's it...

Have a great weekend

Gorgeous Ros, your designs always hit the spot, and the grey and white patterned paper makes a pretty background to the stencilled leaves, and the detailed white veins on the leaves make them perfect, and the leaf and berry stem which you have stacked to give more impact goes beautifully, also finished with a simple but effective silver embossed sentiment. x

This technique makes the paper even more pretty Ros. A lovely way to alter paper that looks a little boring.
I love how you've turned this into a beautiful and elegant card.
Greetings Miranda

Beautiful Ros! I must say you nailed this technique. Your stenciled leaves over that dp paper is very pretty especially with the added white veins - love it. And that stacked stem die, is just perfect to finish this off. I must give this a try as I have tons of paper and stencils. Thanks for sharing Ros and have a wonderful weekend. Hope all is well with you.

This is brilliant, Ros! The white veins you added to the leaves make them look like they truly belong on that paper. I dearly love all this pristine white!

Great effect! I have tons of papers that are gathering dust. Maybe some of them would work for this great technique. Thanks for the inspiration Ros.
