Celebrate

Hello...
The weekend went fast didn't it?And here we are only a few days before we welcome February.
A good friend of my DH celebrates his Golden Wedding Anniversary next weekend and we've been invited to a celebratory lunch with them. I was wracking my brain to come up with a card for them and then a new stamp arrived and that was my starting point

Colouring on vellum is not something I do very often and I kind of like non traditional cards (guess you've noticed that) But colouring on vellum is what I did...

With my new stamp by Woodware. I've quite a few of their stamps and I love them. You can no doubt see that I used that stencil AGAIN! Ha! I love it.
The little birdies were cut from a scrap piece of alcohol inked Yupo. A few more bits and bobs and then a surprise pop up on the inside...

okay, so it took me all day but I had fun and I just hope they like it.

Have a great day

OMWord, this is amazing! The card front is gloriously beautiful all by itself, but then you open it and a surprise pops up! I would not be able to stop exclaiming over this. They'll love it! Such pretty, soft coloring on the vellum, and I especially love the birds cut from the green AI background. This is totally WOW, Ros!

What a fabulous card and the surprise on opening is going to bring a big smile to their faces Ros. I love the white embossed flower on the vellum and the sweet heart with the little birds and the large sentiment in a contrsting inky pattern and then you open it and....wow!! x

Ros, there is nothing [in my view] more wonderful than a perfect slip of vellum - your stamped and beautifully colored image is just stunning! Your stenciling peeking through is only the first surprise... what a fabulous way to celebrate that 50th!!
