Hello and welcome to February...
The month of love, one step nearer to Springtime and the start of a new challenge at the
Joanna has picked a super challenge for us... Stencils from die cuts and there are videos up on the blog to guide you along if you have never tried this
It's a great way to get more out of your dies and fun to do
I die cut a floral frame from a scrap of card to use as my stencil, taped it down onto another piece of card and pounced some distress inks onto it.
It makes a great backdrop for those reeds... Can you tell I'm dreaming of warmer days Lol!
Yeah, that would make me smile.
The team have created some amazing card to inspire you... Go take a peek.
We'd loved you to play along with us, just remember your cards need to be Clean and Simple
Have a beautiful day

Loving the effect of the die cut used as a stencil Ros and what pretty colours. The crisp white die cut reeds look fabulous too in the foreground x.
Love that little pop of pastel behind all this white. Truly a CAS beauty which definitely made me Smile!
A breezy summer morning, lying in the fields. Definitely a beauty dear Ros xx
I love the peachy pink with the orange and yellow, it looks like the sun is shining down Ros, and your floral frame stencil has worked to make a great backdrop to your strip of reeds. x
so pretty Ros, love the colour combo and that gorgeous die cut :)
Wow, you made a special backdrop for the die-cut reeds, Ros! I love the pretty colors and the soft sponging. The echoing effect of the floral frame stenciling and the reeds is wonderful!

Beautiful card in lovely color! A great idea to use die cuts to make stencils! I’ve only done it once and would like to do it more often. I hope your wonderful card hurries spring along! Thanks so much for the inspiration!

This is just gorgeous xx
I love these fresh, spring colors around these dainty stems, Ros! You've done a fantastic job of blending the inky background! I also love how the positive stencil hangs over the edges of the stenciled piece! Such a lovely card, my friend!
Your background and reeds, both, are very pretty, Ros! The two of them are just similar enough to appear as the same scene, but with all that wonderfully ethereal depth. So lovely!
Beautiful card Ros..love the die you have chosen and those pretty delicate colours. xx
Fantastic design Ros! Love your beautifully coloured background by stenciling over those reeds. Adding the white die-cuts on top adds so much dimension. Gorgeous, gorgeous card, my friend! xx
Love this! CAS card indeed Ros. Gorgeous background, love the colours and stenciling, a perfect backdrop for your reed die cut!
This is a wonderful card! The fact that you used the die as a stencil AND the positive on the front! Great!
Beautiful card Ros, I wish I had time to join in the challenge as this sounds fun!! I love the pretty colors you have used, you always make the most peaceful scenes!! I do save some of my negatives for stenciling, but not sure if I have actually used the die itself to stencil with...have a big drawer of stencils, just itching to come out.
Just simply gorgeous Ros, your cards always give me a sense of calm, hugs Robyn

Oh wow--beautiful, Ros! Love the colors you used, the stencil you made & those neat reeds! We've really had a mild winter, but today has been absolutely freezing! I'll be glad to have warmer days, but not too hot--haha!
I'm ready for that warm sunshine from your card to come here soon! Beautiful stenciling and gorgeous reeds with it!
So clever and I adore those colours.
Oh wow, this is gorgeous. I love the colors and using the die cut over the stenciled area made a lovely card.
Wow, amazing!!! Your card is a nice result of using the cutting die as a stencil.
Apparently you managed to create th eperfect card: a big smile came to my face upon seeing it - and instant flashes of a particular beach in Sweden, which I hope to see again come June, to me brain!
