Who's Got the Sun?

So we were just enjoying the lovely weather and 'poof' - It's gone!
Not only that but now blogger is sick... I've left comments where I can but some blogs are not showing photos or allowing me into comments... I fear mine is probably the same.

In any event I'm sharing a couple of creations, maybe you can see them maybe not?

I was asked by a friend's sister if I would sell her one of my watercolour paintings... Heck no, but I would gift her one so I did this for her

She was so happy and sent me a photo of it all framed.

When it comes to flowers, if you asked me what my favourite is I would struggle. Daffodils would be right up there in my top 3... Especially the simple yellow ones - They're like smiley faces after a cold and miserable winter, not that I don't love layered daffodils that look like they are wearing  froo froo skirts.. You can tell I'm not good on specific varieties Lol!
But one of my very favourite flowers has to be Lysanthia, I just love the delicate rose like flowers they have and the tall buds. This is my attempt at sketching and painting a stem

I do hope you are all staying well.. Hopefully Spring will return soon, isolating is so much easier when we can enjoy the sunshine. Take care my friends

Till soon

Well I can see all three of your gorgeous flower paintings Ros and who wouldn't want to frame one. I have never heard of Lysanthia but it looks very pretty. Take care. x

I get it about the weather Ros...we had 5 days in a row of snow this week and I am so done with it!! It's cool today but the sun is shinning and totally makes me feel like I can get through another day! Both cards are absolutely lovely and I'm sure your friend was delighted with the one you sent her...I would have framed it too! Hang in there my friend...nicer weather and better days have to be coming soon!! Hugs. :0)

I can see all three photos Ros and I love these beautiful flower paintings. I am surrounding myself with flower at the moment, I need the happy colors I think. I love how you've used that little fence. Beautiful creations.

My blog had that problem this morning, but I was able to go in and fix it one photo at a time. I'm glad it wasn't just me, not that I would wish it on anyone. Rest assured I can see your exquisite paintings just fine! They're both so beautiful, Ros. I will never tire of seeing them. What a lovely and cherished gift your first one is. I agree that it's so much easier to stay at home when you can get out and enjoy the garden.

I certainly understand why someone would want to frame your hand painted cards as they are gorgeous Ros. Each one has it's own uniqueness about it. Love all the pretty colours and the picket fence of your first card, the second one so soft and pretty. I've never heard of a Lysanthia before until today. All the doodling on your cards just adds the finishing touches. You have some real talent there Ros, and so glad you share that with us. Beautiful cards, love them both! Take care,

You are so GOOD at this! LOVE your creations! Question - do you watercolor first and then sketch or the other way around? I just ADORE your watercoloring!

Hi, just recently one of your cards popped up on my YouTube, I checked it out and there was a beautiful card!, I thought I have to get that stamp it’s so lovely, lo and behold it was a painting you had done, boy! Someone needs to approach you about making your paintings into stamps! They are beautiful, you are an amazing artist.
Regards.

Both are gorgeous, I love the pretty arrangement of the first and the softness of the second, I could cover a wall with these and just stare at them all day!! Daffodils are a favorite of mine as well, like you it would be hard to pick just one favorite, but I have to say I have a love for Iris!! The lilacs have tiny buds on them, time will tell if my flowers made it thru this last blast of cold cold nights and all the snow!!

OH my dear ... your works of art are just beautiful! FABULOUS job on sketching that Lysanthia ... well done in deed! You are SO talented ... wish I had some artistic blood running through my veins! Crafty - yes ... Artistic - NO! LOL Our weather here has been up & down for the past couple of weeks ... 70 one day and snow the next!! UGH! But by the forecast the next couple of weeks look promising! Rain but at least the temps are going up. HUGS and HEALTH to you my friend! Thanks for always bring sunshine into my life with your beautiful designs!

This pot of flowers is my favorite yet of your beautiful watercolors, Ros! I also love the delicate pink flowers and tall buds of the second card. I'm not familiar with that flower. It's probably too hot for them here. Thanks for the tip about my blog yesterday. I think it's fixed but need to check it again this morning. Yours looks like it's doing fine. I'm able to see all your gorgeous creations.

ALL of your cards should be framed, Ros, as I've said many times! I'm thrilled to know that one of them has been and will now grace the home of your friend's sister. She is lucky indeed as this one is extraordinary! She won't miss the sun if she simply looks at your art! I also love your beautiful Lysanthia! Take care and keep safe! Hugs, Darnell

Oh yes, I can see your cards and they are gorgeous! The weather here is about the same, I guess: it loooked like November fog this morning (and it stayed for quite a bit) but turned out to be rather warm and muggy even. Weird weather, but then that's what April is known for, at least around here.

Looks like everyone is having issues with Blogger...Your 1st card bouquet is so beautifully arranged, colorful and well deserving a wonderful frame! Your friend will treasure your beauty. Thank you for sharing all your paintings with us. I love the Lysanthia design. Simply beautiful and your touches of doodling on both cards add so much depth and interest to your art.

I think we have your sunshine on the Oregon coast. We have had days of Gorgeous weather. We have enjoyed our time outside walking, gardening, etc. Sure makes isolating more enjoyable. Stay safe and keep on painting, my friend. Love and Hugs..Nancy

Oh so beautiful, my friend! You really are a talented artist--in case I haven't said that before! Hope that was a signed print your friend's sister now has framed! Love the single stem painting, too--never heard of that plant. The blogger virus was such a pain, but hopefully it's now cured. If only there was a cure for Covid 19!
