Little Birds

Hello friends...

Still not much sunshine in my neck of the woods and still isolating here, though I did get to go out for a little drive on Sunday. It's weird, I liked being out and seeing the world beyond my own front door, yet it was alarming seeing people congregating, no social distancing, no masks, kids in crowds...

Anyway, I have some painted bird cards to share today... These will also be posted, well I can't keep them all can I?

This is a birthday card for a lifelong friend who lives in NJ and has been working constantly in the health sector caring for elderly patients. Only recently she was given full PPE and I am so glad that she is safe

The next ones I'm sending to blog friends

"Hello Friend"

I still love using blues and greens

But no two birds are ever the same... Sometimes I sketch one easily and sometimes I don't

See he's completely different, but that's okay

With all the horror going on in this world, it's just nice to get lost in something creative

Stay safe and well and enjoy your day

~ Ros ~

Your birdies are absolutely beautiful. Love the colors and all the designs. You are kucky to be able to create, I can't seem to settle down, I have a few new goodies coming my way, maybe that will inspire me, let's hope. we are social distancing too, but it seems not too many are here anymore. Have a great day my friend!

EEK!!! Oh my goodness Ros, I'm in love with these! Absolutely gorgeous cards! I'm such a big bird lover, these just speak to me! And your right no two birds are ever the same! Wow, I'm just in awe! I agree it is very alarming to see people congregating, no masks etc. I just heard on the news yesterday that a husband and wife died within 3 hrs of each other because of Covid 19. so, so sad! People just don't get it do they? I don't venture out except for groceries, but I wear a mask and keep my distance. Keep well, enjoy your day! Hugs,

Yes still self isolating our end too Ros x. What pretty and delicate cards, which are of course unique and the recipients will love them x. The little birds are adorable x.

I love all your sweet scenes Ros and the beauty of them is that each one is totally individual and painted beautifully by you. All three are pretty, but I particularly love your first with the two birds on the branch and the sweet nest with the blue speckled eggs. x

My hubby and I have LOTS of feeders in both our front and backyard, and just LOVE watching them feed and play!! And we're still self isolating here too...as crazy as our world has become, I don't mind staying home at all! Hugs. :0)

The sweetest cards I have seen in a long time! Yes I do love birds and have several feeders in my backyard. Love watching the different varieties come and snack with me.
Are these baby birds a stamp? Will you share you secret? Inquiring minds want to know!!

Ros, I so appreciated that you shared your Sunday drive with me … and these darling birds!! Could not be more adorable!
Do you know that we have a Bluebird family living in our yard? We actually feed them by hand! Three little babies are now feeding on our deck... and Mama is back in the nest already! One egg this morning!

These birdie cards are just so SWEET! I feel so happy looking at them! Here in Florida it's like people feel the pandemic is over even though our numbers are higher than they have ever been! I continue to wear my mask and wash my hands and social distance. Our UK friends have been postponed 3 times going back home. They were supposed to go home the beginning of May and now their flight is July 4th - if that happens! Stay well, my friend!

Your sweet bird cards are so pretty, Ros. I just love your style of painting. To me, I can feel you having fun painting these scenes. :) Really lovely work and your friends will be thrilled to receive these amazing cards. xx

You continue to blow me away completely, Ros! I adore birds and flowers and birdhouses and these cards have it all! I feel sooooooo privileged to have received one of your little wreath cards. Thank you a thousand times over! I didn't realize your painting was so dainty and teeny on those wreath cards. Now I'm even more gobsmacked! I'm definitely going to frame it somehow and hang it in my stamp room. We still stay away from people except for the essential things, and then we try our best to keep our distance and we always wear our masks. We do outdoor things away from home. There's plenty of room around here to get away from it all. Lucky we enjoy that sort of thing. Hugs, Ros!

Just love these sweet birdie paintings, Ros! So ridiculous that frontline workers didn't have proper PPE!

Such cute cards... your friends will love to receive them, no doubt about that. And they will always be able to say "that's a Ros Crawford, from her COVID-19 period". They all need frames!

All 3 of your birdie cards are so sweet and creative, Ros. We spend a lot of time watching all our tweetie birds in our gardens and woods. They are so beautiful and entertaining:-) WE are still practicing social distancing, etc. But so easy to just stay home and enjoy gardening and nature. So happy you are still staying safe and creative too. Much Love..Hugs..Nancy

OMG...I am the proud owner of the sweet birdie #3 card and it is even cuter in real life!!! Thank you so very much, my dear friend:-) Your card came all the way across the Atlantic and North America to the Southern Oregon Coast without a scratch:-) I will always treasure your adorable scene. I have been sharing all your watercolored flowers and scene cards with Denny and he knew right away who made my new card and loved it too:-)

I tried making easy flowers when we were camping, but did not have the right kind of watercolor paints with me. I will be trying again. I just about wore out the You Tube Video on the technique. Now all I need is time. All my spare time goes to gardening, weeding, etc this time of year. Thank you for your kindness and always inspiring me and all your friends! Stay safe, Ros and I know you will stay creative. With much Love and Big Hugs...Nancy

Ros, wow, this pandemic has really brought out the artist in you! I've missed a bunch of them, so I've enjoyed scrolling through! You can draw any kind of flower, bird, or sweet critter and place them perfectly in your peaceful scenes! There are so many that you make it look like it just takes minutes to sit down and draw and paint, but I'm sure each one takes a while and a lot of care and love goes into them. I'm delighted you have this outlet to escape to!

I don't see the fabulous two birds card I have sitting next to me, but I'm sure they were part of this painting session. I LOVE IT!! Thank you so much! Can you believe it arrived so fast? If we were reading the postmark right, it looked like it was mailed on Saturday the 13th and it arrived here yesterday, the 17th? Can that even be? It takes longer than that for mail to get to nearby states here! BTW, I noticed you painted in some blueberries, lol! Mwah!! Keep well and safe, my friend! Hugs, Darnell
