Just Paint and Pens

Hello... I hope you are enjoying your weekend

I'm just popping in with a couple more cards in calming blues today - We could all do with a bit of calm right? Everything seems topsy turvy in the world

And some blue flowers...

We have these tiny blue flowers that are growing up from between the flags and I can't bring myself to pull them out... That's where this painting and a previous one came from

Doing these keeps me calm though I've also done a lot of sewing lately. I had a day of alterations... You know when you go through your wardrobe and there are things you never wear because... it's to long, the neckline isn't right, the hem needs fixing etc., etc., So I decided to fix a few things and I also made another summer top even though the summer has deserted us and during these times I don't go anywhere to wear new stuff.

Stay well and safe and have a lovely weekend

Till soon

Lovely cards! The first one in particular... somehow I felt that if I were able to be inside that motif I would be under a cool waterfall. And no, I haven't had any alcohol yet. Don't know where it came from. You took up sewing, I've done more knitting, the fourth scarf is in the making!

Two more beauties Ros and love the colours and the pretty hand drawn flowers, but I particularly love the first with the stripes of colour which is a bit different to the others you have been doing, and obviously a follow on from your super toadstool and flowers of the last post, and then some more pretty flowers in the rocks and with another beautiful blue and gold frame. I do love the gold you have added to both lots of flowers too. x

Oh Ros, these are beautiful. It's always such a delight to see your creations. Lovely blue tones and of course your hand drawings makes them that much more special. It's been a while since I've done any sewing (unless on a card, but that's been a while too), good to see you found some other interests to keep you busy. Stay well my friend, hugs,

Beautiful Ros, I am always so in awe of your drawings. I think my favourite is the flowers with the stones :)

Calming blues and calming cards Ros x. Wonderful contemporary design with the first one and such a beauty with the second x. Well done you with the sewing and had a little chuckle about a new Summer top and then not really going anywhere to wear it....I totally understand Ros x.

Really lovely cards, Ros... and a wonderful way to stay calm, I think! Sewing, on the other hand, might stress me out because [besides stitching on cards] it has been far too long! Just the same, I'm very happy if it makes you happy!

Two more brilliant cards, Ros! Love the colorful abstract leaves in the background with the pretty leaves and flowers that stand out against them! Great layout too! And the little blue flowers growing among the stones are beautiful! I wouldn't pull them either! Good for you doing some sewing. That's something I should do.

Two more beauties Ros! I love the way you mix in the gold with so many of your paintings too...it sure does add a lovely touch! It feels like Fall this weekend, and I for one am not sad to see the heat and humidity go...it has been an unbelievably HOT Summer for us this year and we are just not used to temps in the 90's. Of course having said that, I'm not ready for Winter either!! Just a nice extended Fall would be wonderful...that's not asking too much is it??!! Take care my friend. Hugs. :0)

Oh, such lovely cards to see on this fine Sunday, Ros!! Lovely leaves and beautiful blue flowers! When, I look at your wonderful paintings I’m inspired to do some sketching, too...maybe one day! Happy to hear yo7 are doing some sewing, too. I got my sewing machine out for a repair on a pillow case. I’d love to do a small quilt one day. I still need to finish one large one...again...maybe one day!:). Thank you for sharing your lovely cards!! Take care and have a great week, hugs!!

Blue is a cool and calming color. It's always a special delight to see your own drawings on the beautiful backgrounds you make. You have a talent that goes way beyond stamping. Love the touches of gold. I wouldn't be able to pull up these little flowers, either. As we were driving today and seeing all the boarded up stores I told Rich I don't think things will ever be the same.

Your blue paintings are peaceful & beautiful, Ros! Love how you always add some metallic! Good for you getting things done. I can't seem to bring myself to work on any projects--just make cards. If only this was a nightmare we could wake up from!

Two very beautiful and artistic cards Ros. Love the streaks of colour behind the beautiful leaves and flowers. Great work with the white pen in the background and love the colour you've added to the flowers.

Your second card is so pretty! Love those delicate blue flowers growing up throught the rocks. Your cards make me free calm and peaceful too ... thanks! xx
