Hi there... How are you?
I took a trip to the local shops earlier and it left me fuming! I was queuing at a checkout obviously distancing and put my heavy basket down whilst the woman in front who was NOT wearing a mask, packed up her stuff. There was more than a meter between us and I was behind the markings when suddenly the checkout operator shouted rather loudly to me "make sure you don't cross the line". When I got to the till I asked her why she felt it necessary to shout at me and yet not say anything to the person before me not wearing a mask and the others in the queue not wearing masks or distancing - Her reply? "Well we're not allowed to say anything in case we get abuse" I REALLY despair of people...
Anyway... Lets talk about something else like my sketched and painted card today
My brother once made a remark on asking him where his wife had gone that day... He said "I don't know, I'm just a mushroom" When I asked what he meant he said "I'm always kept in the dark" Lol!
I mentioned a logo I did for a family member in my last post - She's starting up a cleaning business and asked for something whimsical with a mop and bucket and I can now share what I came up with
Have yourselves a lovely day, thanks for stopping by and for all your encouraging comments

For some reason you are not showing in my reading list Ros so today I came looking! I have missed your perfectly pretty creations - this latest 'shroom family is just perfect! I adore the teeny spider's web. x
Oh and forgot - what an awesome business card that is! Good luck to her in her venture. x
I love your autumnal card with more pretty toadstools and the cute spider's web Ros and what a great job you did on the logo for the new cleaning business, absolutely perfect and so different from the usual style which will make it stand out. A great design! x
Bota are very beautifully designed Ros. Such pretty painted mushrooms and the log is perfect for her business! both you and Leslie M have been using mushrooms and makes me want to go home and get mine out, though what I have isn't near as cute as yours!
Everything you paint is just beautiful.
I love the designs the little mushrooms and the cob web are so sweet and the business card is perfect and so quirky :)
I always enjoy your posts - love the logo card you designed. Your colors are always so clear and pure.

Love, love, love your mushrooms with the spider web, Ros! The logo is awesome and I'll bet will bring you more requests! Great job, my friend! As for the shopping experience, it's the same here. Seems like a topsy turvy world these days!
Another beauty Ros and I'm just loving ALL the detail...especially the little spider web! And the painting for the cleaning business is FABULOUS...I can just imagine how sweet that looks on all her stationery and business cards! You rocked that one my friend...LOVE it!! Hugs. :0)
The most wonderful mushroom scene and love the attention to detail with the spiders web and dew Ros x.
I love what you did for your family member and no wonder she was delighted with it. It is fun, unique and so very creative and of course hand drawn x.
Sorry about your trip out Ros....x.
Isn't it funny that most of us just hate spiders, yet you put a little web in your darling painting and it's the favorite element for those same people? Adorable. every. single inch of it!
I also love the work of art you've done for the new family business! Cinderella would love it, too!

More lovely painted mushrooms and a delicate cute spiderweb! Lots of wonderful detail, Ros! And, funny joke from your brother, lol! I'll have to use that one some time!:-) Fabulous logo for your family member! I can see why she would be thrilled with it! Good luck to her with her cleaning business!
Hurrah! Bet her cards will bring in lots of business with that darling logo! You could go into designing for money, but then it probably wouldn't be enjoyable with the stress of a business. Glad we get to enjoy your incredible talent, Ros! I've never heard anyone say they're a mushroom--funny! I do love your cute mushroom scene--very fanciful & fun! Don't get me started on people--ready to be alone on an island--haha! Crisis brings out the good, as they say, but the bad are there, too & getting hard to ignore!
Oh, Ros, sometimes I can hardly believe you draw and paint these yourself. They are just so cute! Your friend is going to have the most adorable business cards of anyone ever! I'm so proud to display my Ros miniature masterpiece in my stamp room. I'm unfortunately with you about despairing of people. I'm at my wits end. Thank goodness for my friends and the people around town I'm comfortably familiar with. You never know when you're going to encounter some unpleasantness. It's more frequent than before.
Lovely dew covered mushrooms with a darling spider web, Ros! The logo for your family member is perfect for her business! I hope this whimsical log will help bring her a lot of customers!
