Just Paint and Pens

 Hello...

Yesterday the sun was glorious and I honestly thought Spring was here but today it's a completely different story.. It's really windy and the visiting kitty has been chasing leaves all over the garden, much to the amusement of my lazy fur babies.

I had a few rough days following the vaccination and it left me devoid of inspiration and energy so all I've got to share are a couple of 'messy' cards, just random watercolour that I've sketched over.

It's difficult to see but the flowers are gold and I used some old Washi tape for the border

I used Cosmic shimmer paints with some ordinary W/C paint on this next one

Told you they were messy

At least I felt like I was doing something and I enjoyed it

Stay well and safe friends

Till next time

I don't see them as a mess, at all, Ros! A beautiful mess, if you insist! Both wonderful!
Sorry you've had a few rough days, but it must be wonderful to know you are now protected.

I'm so sorry you're feeling some after effects from the vaccine but from what I hear that is normal (ugh ... something for me to look forward to lol). I haven't been able to get an appointment yet but hubby has his scheduled for this Friday.
In regards to your cards ... they might be what you call messy but I call them AWESOME!!! LOVE that first one ... I wish I could 'sketch' like you do ... just beautiful my friend!
Wishing you more sunshine in your days to come! We still have a lot of the 'white stuff' on the ground and it's windy here today too but Spring is right around the corner so I'll just have to be patient!! Hugs and Good Health to you.

I LOVE the colours you combined for both backgrounds! My favorite would be the top(neutrals really set off that beautiful flower) but both are wonderful! Love your 'hot messes'; keep it up! Hope you are feeling better soon!

Messy? No! I love these cards! The gold flowers make such a pretty card! I think this is my favorite among all those favorites of your cards, Ros! I felt pretty rough after my vaccination but only for a day. Better than COVID!

Even on your roughest days, your messiest work looks FABULOUS to me Ros!! Both cards are absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! And I'm sorry to hear you had a rough time after the vaccine...was it the 2nd dose that made you sick? I'm still waiting for my 1st dose and hopefully it will be soon as I'm going a bit stir crazy!! Take care and hang in there my friend!! Hugs. :0)

Oh my goodness....I wish my "messy" efforts looked half as lovely as your card Ros... I love them. Now I do hope you are feeling a bit better after the vaccine.. it has finally arrived in Australia, but we're down the list a bit, my mum's 90 and in two minds about getting it, I think she should and then just hope that it's the right decision... we've been so lucky over here. Keeping painting Ros, I love your penwork too, hugs Robyn

These are both very pretty and I love the gold flowers on the first and you can see the pretty shimmer, and then the second over the watercolour background shape works well too. So artistic and beautiful Ros. I had my vaccination a week ago today and I felt a bit under the weather too. It gave me the shivers and I seem to have lost my mojo too, although that may not be down to the jab but just me. I have been trying to remain upbeat but nothing is inspiring me at the moment..I'm sure this too will pass. We all need some sun and a change of scene which unfortunately is not going to happen at the moment. Take care. x

These are beautiful, Ros! Your playing with paints always amazes me! I get my first vaccine tomorrow. Very grateful, but would be nice if I don't get any side effects. Hubby's is Friday, so maybe we will finally be able to see family in a few months.

Both cards are so beautiful, Ros! The gold flowers and the black washi tape are a wonderful combination.
The second card has a wonderful mix of colors. The shimmer form the paints is so pretty!
Glad that you enjoyed making these even though you had rough days.

I would love to throw something together and have it come out so beautiful! I'm sorry you felt crummy for a while from the vaccine. I hope it gives you the necessary protection. Still waiting here, and then I'll play it safe for a while. Your colors and sketches are just gorgeous here, Ros!

Both cards are so creative and beautiful Ros. I love how you take a smooshed background and draw flowers over top that are just perfect for the shade and colours. Love the first card that looks like wild roses to me. Very elegant and beautiful. The black washi tape at the bottom is a wonderful accent. Your whimsical flowers are so pretty done with the shimmer paints. They sparkle like crazy!! Love the twine accent. These are not message cards to me, but amazingly creative and artistic. A joy as always to visit and see your creations, my friend! xx

"Messy" really isn't the word that I have in mind when I see your cards - gorgeous is more like it! Sorry to hear you had a rough stretch after the vaccination but I trust that's come and gone now.
