Here For You

 Good morning...
I hope you enjoyed the Easter weekend and maybe some chocolate?

When I lost my best friend 18 months ago, I kept in touch with her niece and right now she's going through a really rough patch so today's card is one I made for her.

It also has a little paper piecing so I'm sharing at the CAS Mix Up Challenge

I drew the little bird and painted her with watercolours. The boots are a digital stamp which I paper pieced

... and covered in dimensional gloss. The umbrella was die cut first from card, then from the same paper as the boots

The hills as always, were done with torn paper and black soot distress ink and the sentiment from a very old set by Precious Rememberance was stamped and embossed

I'm kinda sorry to part with her but I know she will bring a little cheer to my friend

Well the sun has made an appearance - it's really cold, but still it looks beautiful outside

Have a lovely day and stay well

~ Ros ~

Awwwwwwwww...what a sweet, sweet card Ros and it's sure to cheer up your friend! It definitely brought a smile to my gray and rainy morning! (Not going to complain though as we just had 4 days in a row of sunshine and beautiful temps in the 50's and 60's!! Take care my friend! Hugs. :0)

Awww, a sweet little bird to brighten her day. Sometimes that's all it takes. It's so cute how you paper pieced the umbrella and boots to go with your beautifully illustrated and softly feathered friend. Absolutely sweet and adorable, Ros. Thank you so much for sharing in our CAS Mix Up gallery!

FANTASTIC and I have no doubt it will bring a big smile to your friend's face! Just adorable! Such a difficult time in life right now for so many! I'm sure glad I have my craft to occupy my mind.
The weather has warmed up this week (in the 70s) and I've been spending my afternoons (along with hubby's help) preparing some new flower beds and plantings. He says I'm trying to turn our wooded area into a PARK ... I told him I didn't see anything wrong with that! LOL It's coming along! Have a fabulous week my friend and thanks for always sharing a smile and inspiration with all of us!

She is adorable and I'm sure will lift your friend's spirits! How could she not with that beautiful umbrella and snazzy boots? We're having a dose of summer here. Very warm and the pollen has covered our world in a thick coat of yellow!

What a beautiful precious card to send to your friends niece. I know this will lift her spirits and something she can treasure as well. I know what you mean about parting with certain cards, and I struggle with that as well, but you know what, if you love it that much, you can just imagine how the recipient feels, and besides you can always make another. You have such a wonderful soul, my friend, take care, hugs,

Oh wow, that card is a winner and I would have been hesitant to send it, too. But it must have been treasured by your friend's niece. That warm yellow does more than a thousand words to comfort a soul.
