Some Oldies

Hello there...

The week is whooshing by and I haven't done any crafting at all. Hubby had his 2nd vaccination yesterday and I got to catch up with some friends.... Finally!

It was my friend Hilary's 60th and we had a small social gathering in her garden with people coming and going intermittently. It was such a delight to see and chat to those I haven't seen for so long, albeit that the weather was cold and windy. It's been lovely and sunny all week, but not yesterday. I tell you I was exhausted after a couple of hours and I still can't get warm.

Anyway, I may not have crafted but I do have a few cards to share with you... These were made awhile ago playing with a tree stamp by Lavinia and adding a drawn mushroom roof

I drew some tiny branches creeping over the 'roof' on this one too

and the second one

...which I did for a family member

I prefer the first one, what about you?

Thanks for stopping by, have a lovely day

~ Ros ~

Both cards are charming and your clever mushroom roof additions on both are excellently done. I thought at first that the first was wholely stamped as it fits perfectly and the little window is so sweet and a beautiful foliage and stencilled background. The second is pretty too and love the added leaves, flowers and rocks, and the textured card in the background looks great. Glad you were able to socialise with some friends and the weather has got much cooler here again. Layers that were taken off have now been put on again...lol. x

I love them both Ros and they totally remind me of a place a little fairy might reside. You are so clever to start with just the tree image and then draw in all the additions! Sweet, sweet cards!! And YAY for getting together with friends...it really does wonders for the soul doesn't it?!! Hugs. :0)

What a fun and creative idea to add the mushroom roofs to the trees Ros x. Both cards are absolutely wonderful and as always love your attention to detail x. So glad you could help your friend celebrate and it must have been great to catch up with 'real' people? x.

so clever and such a great twist on the Lavinia stamps :). I'm leaning to the pink one also but both are amazing ♥
It was so great you could catch up with friends to celebrate a birthday even if it was in different time slots :)

Choosing a favorite is hard as they are both so wonderful, Ros! But, if I were the fairy, I'd want the Shroom with a view!!
Fabulous way to use this tree in a most unusual way - hope you sent this photo to Lavinia!

Well LOOK AT YOU GO!!! I love your added mushroom roof ... how creative and looks PERFECT! I think the 1st card is my favorite too although both are simply amazing!
So glad you were able to get out to visit again ... does the soul good doesn't it!! Our weather is back and forth (80s one day and 50s the next) but I'm not complaining! At least it's not 30 and snow! LOL
I've not been crafting as much as normal either since Spring has sprung. I couldn't WAIT to get outside and get some fresh air! Been doing lots of outside work and we have a big project lined up for this summer so if you don't see me online, don't panic ... I'm just having fun outdoors! LOL
Hugs, Happy Day and thanks for ALWAYS inspiring me!! You are SO talented my friend! LOVE my visits!

Your stamped tree for both cards was the star, but your mushroom drawn roofs were an amazing addition, Ros. Loved the softly stenciled background and pink roof on your 1st card. I think that is why it was my favorite, but both cards are such clever and creative designs. So happy to hear you were able to enjoy a couple of hours outside for your friends special 60th Birthday Celebration. Wishing you more warm weather soon. Love and Hugs..Nancy

Amazing little fantasy houses, Ros! I love how you've used the soft stenciling and extra little branches on the first! The second looks like it's growing in the garden! I'm loving those purple flowers! It is so nice to be able to get together with friends again!

I love them both - it feels like the fairies will open the door any moment! And I have a hard time making up my mind: image-wise, I think I like the first one a wee bit more but this extra background layer for the second one adds quite some interest.

Yes, I think I prefer the first one too, but they are both delightful and unique. I like the stencilled background and the weeping tree on the first xx

These are fantastic, Ros! I think the first is my favorite, too, but I do love those leaves and blooms on the second card. It's lovely to hear you were able to spend time with your friends. I am sorry the weather wasn't warmer for you.

So glad you got to catch up with friends, Ros! Your drawings are always delightful! With pink my favorite color, I do prefer the first one.
