Hello friends!
Oh my... It is so hot and I'm melting. I know it s nowhere near the temperatures that some of you have experienced lately but we just are not used to it and we don't have A/C. I went to my exercise class on Monday and came out like I'd just stepped out of the shower!
Even those pesky pigeons are feeling it... This guy came for a shower in my garden water feature and I couldn't help but giggle
I do have a card to share, not that I've done much recently, but I needed a card to send to my friends son in the Netherlands who recently obtained his Masters
I thought it was suitable for a guy starting out on his journey. I only used a part of the stencil (it's big) and painted some leaves weaving through
DH is away for a few days visiting his brother so I am enjoying some 'me' time, no having to stop what I'm doing and cook a dinner and generally enjoying time with Mikey, though we are very alike and enjoy our solitude.
Thanks for your visit, have a beautiful day

Very pretty Ros and love your hand drawn leaves over the stencilled compass, and the 'congratulations' looks great on the vellum. I love the photo of the pigeon enjoying a cooling shower. x
This is an awesome compass design for the young man finishing his Masters and embarking on another leg of his journey through life! The leaves you interwove are perfect!
You have my sympathy and empathy about the heat, Ros. Although we do have a/c, thank goodness, the first part of my life was without it and it's awful. I hope it cools off for you soon. Enjoy your ME time!! And thank you for sharing with everyone at NBUS! Hugs, Darnell
Love your very creative and unique stenciled compass with the beautiful painted leaves and Congratulations stamped on vellum, Ros. Sure hope the weather starts cooling off. Enjoy your extra time with Mikey. Love and Hugs..Nancy
Love those cute pigeon photos!! They want to cool off with a refreshing shower!! And, what a wonderful card with the lovely compass stencil!! Beautiful green leaves, too!! I hope the weather cools down soon there for you! I'm afraid it will starting heating up here again soon after we've had a reprieve from the heat! Have a great weekend, hugs!!
Very artsy and creative card for your friend's son after receiving his Masters. He will love it!
LOVE the expressioon on the face of the pigeon, Ros. I think he was posing for your to draw him! :) We have to do everything we can to stay cool, but that's a first for me seeing a pigeon sitting on the edge of a bird bath.
Enjoy the time to yourself and stay cool, my friend. Hope it cools down for your soon. Love, Loll
Beautiful leaves wending their way around the compass! A lovely way to say congratulations! That pigeon looks like he's saying thank you!
Beautifully created card, love the pretty soft feel of it! We are to have a heat wave and high humidity this coming weekend and week to come/ we are at the lake house right now but leaving Monday, ugh!
This is just fabulous my friend and I love how you add your own personal hand painted touches ... makes it even more special! I'm sure it will be greatly appreciated and congrats to him on that awesome achievement!
Yes the weather seems to be crazy everywhere! We had 90s in May (unheard of for this part of the USA) and now this week we've been down in the 60s at night (not complaining as I love a cool evening breeze over those hot/humid days!). I could not live without our A/C ... we are working on a big outside project and coming back into the A/C has been awesome!!
Take care and thanks for sharing! Always such a job for me to come and see/read what you've been up to! Stay healthy! HUGS
What an unusual and clever design, very fitting for the occasion too. lucky you to have a few days to yourself, wish my other half would go away on his own sometimes, it is usually me who goes away and gives him a break. It would be lovely if it was the other way round sometimes. Glad you are enjoying it. I enjoy watching the antics of the pigeons in the garden too, they can be very funny xx
fantastic congratulations card, love the stenciled compass and the vines :)
Oh this card is so unique and so perfect as a congratulations masculine card Ros x. Loved the fun 'Pidgeon' photos and hope you enjoyed your 'me' time x. Stay cool x.
You are just so talented, Ros! Absolutely love the card you made for Stella's son--perfect! I'd be glad to share our AC with you! We can't imagine how people are handling the heat here without it!
I wish we had some of that hot weather... we've been hovering around 20, max 23°C here and I think having an actual summer might get my mind off these horrific floods that began less than 5 minutes sown the hill from where I live. Life is pretty schizophrenic here these days, my little paradise up here, complete disaster so close by.
