And so ends another week...

Hello there... This week has gone so fast!

It's very dull here today but we've enjoyed a few days of really warm weather and nature isn't quite sure what to make of things. Flowers are blooming...

Alongside the holly...

...and the garden chairs are out again.

On Monday I went to my flexercise class and had fun with the ladies as we tried to master new steps and positions that taxed the brain as much as the body. I never thought exercise could make me laugh so much.
Wednesday was lunch with my friends and Thursday was flu jab day. The jab left me feeling really rough but I was determined not to miss a catch up (last night) with my long time GF's. I dosed up on paracetamol, went along and had a brilliant night.

I did fit in a little crafty time and have a couple of cards to share

I just paint randomly and then look for shapes I can outline and remove paint here and there with water

The second card is done the same way

And I also used a grey pencil

I'll catch up with your blogs soon, in the meantime have a lovely day and thank you for stopping by

Both cards are brilliant and so peaceful looking, I love that!! Glad you got to get out and have some 'me' time, that is so important to all of us. I am going to a Fall Harvest today to watch my granddaughters dance group perform i the street, will be fun, tomorrow I am doing an Octoberfest with my daughter and my cards. Yes, the week went fast and I think we are headed next week to the lake house for my birthday and to close it up for the winter, we aren't sure if we will go back there this winter or not. Have a great weekend my friend, to be in the 80's here and sunny the next three days!

Ros, your cards today are so lovely and serene. The outdoors bring me such peace and these scenes are most calm and inviting. Love that you shared some outdoor photos, too. This is the time of year when Nature is beside herself. It's lovely that you're enjoying so many activities. I haven't been to lunch or dinner anywhere other than a park or friends' homes since this whole thing started. I've had a good time figuring ways to enjoy my girl time. It's been okay.

I love how you start out all random and then see what comes out. your finished pieces are always so wonderful. Your two cards have very different feel to them. the first one is quite moody and perhaps reminiscent of a misty morning (we have had a couple of them recently) and your second one is the opposite, all light and cheery. Brilliant xx

Brilliant artwork as always Ros and love the random washy backgrounds with two super scenes picked out so beautiful and really atmospheric and look deceptively simple which I know they aren't.. you're just a wonderful artist. Glad you are getting out and about and enjoying life Ros, and hope that any after effects of your flu jab are now gone. x

OH my friend these cards are fabulous ... I just LOVE your imagination! Simple yet so powerful ... love them!! So glad you've been able to enjoy some friendship & fellowship ... I miss seeing a lot of my friends but they are in another state (not THAT far away) but Covid is running rampit through my hometown so I've been staying away.
In the last couple of weeks we've been able to get our Covid Booster as well as our Flu jab so we should be 'good to go'. Fingers crossed anyway!
The weather here in Ohio has been warmer than normal (still feels like summertime during the day) but to getting much cooler in the next few weeks. Like yours, my plants are all confused!!
Thanks for beautiful inspiration ... always LOVE visiting your blog! HUGS

Two more of your wonderful unique artwork cards... Ros, nice that your week has been an enjoyable one too... weather is on the change here in the subtropics, with the day temps up around 30 and the humidity kicking in - never mind, on go the air cons so there's no excuse for not crafting except when one overdoes it in the garden in the fresh of the mornings... hugs and stay safe Robyn

It's amazing that you made these beautiful cards by painting randomly and then looking for shape, Ros! How interesting and creative it is to see the scenes in the watercolor wash!
Thanks for sharing the pictures of the pretty flowers and the shiny holly!

Loving your cards Ros! So serene! your sky lines are painted so pretty, love the colours in the second card. So glad to hear you are getting out with your friends, slowly the world seems to be getting back to some kind of normalcy! Other than going to the office 3x a week, home the other 2 days, I've only met up with one friend 2 x over the last 1.5 yrs. Thanks for sharing a couple of your garden photos, and yes same over here, the weather has been strange, I still have my butterfly bushes blooming and some flowers still on my hydrangeas. This week a lot of rain and cooler temp next week, only in the 40's. Thanks for sharing your masterpieces Ros, have a great day, take care!

I'm pretty sure if I tried your technique it would end up looking like a 2-year old did it... so lovely, both cards!
Good to hear that you coldn't be deterred from meeting with friends - we can't do without nights like these.
