This and That

Hello lovely people... Another week has gone by in the blink of an eye.

I only have one card to share today, whilst I have a ton of stuff, I just haven't made them up into cards yet but I needed a birthday card so pulled out one of my many paintings

I drew and painted this ages ago and maybe it was just a bit too busy or too vibrant, I don't know but I left it to one side. Then I thought maybe with a bit of vellum over the top it would be better.... Glitter coated of course

I'm still doing battle with this new computer... I have to say I really REALLY don't like the keyboard - I've re- typed that many times I can't tell you. It's so touch sensitive.

On other news I went to see a physio yesterday, as you know I have been struggling with my knee and lately my hip area. Turns out that it is all linked to the muscle that runs the length of my leg, it's very tight. I was pushed and prodded and it hurt so bad, I though heck I'm paying for this pain. This morning it hurt even more. Hopefully it will settle down before my next visit.

What else have I been up to... Well, sewing and crotcheting to name a few - Here's a little peek at one of my finished crotched garments

I'm self taught in most things, well, all things really but I enjoy trying except when things don't work out... Like a top I started sewing yesterday which just isn't working out like I'd hoped. Maybe I'll salvage something out of it, if not there's always my paint to soothe me.

Have a lovely weekend and stay safe

Till next time

you certainly have been busy Ros and I love your card with the vellum overlay though I am sure it looks good without it too! Is the crochet top for you? love how you have added a fringe at the bottom. hope the physio brings results
for you, maybe it has to get worse before better? hugs xx

Very pretty card, has such a nice light airy feel to it! Great job on your other endeavors too, I like the vest, I just bought a crocheted cape to wear but for the life of me can't figure out which way it goes lol!! Hope your muscle relaxes for you, I know that pain and it is NOT pleasant!!

Oh Ros...I don't think this card is too busy at all...in fact it's downright GORGEOUS!! I'm loving all the color and even the sparkly vellum over the top...absolutely lovely!! And your crocheted vest is absolutely beautiful too! I've never quite got the hang of crocheting, but I do love to knit...been on a sock kick lately and just love using the self striping yarns! I dress pretty conservatively, (or boring as my girls say!) but my socks are quite wild with all the stripes and colors! Haha!! I sure hope your knee and hip survive the therapy and you come out feeling better than when you went in!! Hang in there!! Hugs. :0)

Ros, your lovely card reminds me of pressed flowers - and that is very pleasing to my eye indeed! As is this gorgeous vest - in the perfect blue-grey!
Hoping you find some relief soon - including healing thoughts your way!

Ros your are unbelievably talent. Your card looks wonderful - sure wish I knew how you accomplished that frosted look on the vellum then attached it on your card. What a brilliant idea!
So sorry about your knee and hip problems. I know what those problems feel like plus adding lower back pain. So many of my friends have had knee replacements and hip replacements.
I too crochet - love crocheting but as with my cards, I am not nearly as talented as you!!!
Keep posting your wonderful art work and crochet projects.
Sandy xx

Ros, your card is beautiful and colorful and I can't imagine it didn't look amazing even before the glitter coated vellum, but it is absolutely lovely the way you finished it, too. I really love the crochet vest with the soft fringe edge. It's sylishly adorned with the silk flowers and I can imagine the woman who wears this looking quite beautiful. Will it be you? I'm sorry for your pain, Ros. It sounds like the treatment is as bad as the affliction, but hopefully it will end up better. I had the same thing going on recently and thought my hip was going out, but then realized the pain was issuing from my back. It gradually got better.

What a fabulous idea to layer a textured glittery vellum over a bright beautiful design! Genius, Ros! And your crocheted top is just lovely. I think when God was handing out Talent, you snuck around the line several times!! Hope you feel better soon. That's the same area I'm dealing with, so I get it. Hugs, Darnell

What a lovely birthday card, Ros! Love the glitter-coated vellum overlay! It's so sparkly, and beautifully softens the color tone of the flowers!
You ARE talented in many ways. The crochet jacket is so stylish! Hope your knee and hip get better soon.

What a beautifully created piece Ros, and the glittery vellum gives it a soft and dreamy look, and I love that crocheted top and I adore the fringe along the bottom, and I hope your sewing works out in the end. I hope the physio helps your knee and hip..I think sometimes it gets worse before it gets better, so let us hope that is the case with this problem. x

What a beautiful flower painting and I love how you have muted it with that sparkly vellum, it adds an extra special dimension to it. Beautiful crocheting too. I do hope you start to feel the benefit of the physio soon xx

I only crocheted afghans & scarves--nothing that has to fit! Your vest is gorgeous, Ros! I've never covered vellum with glitter, but now I want to! Love it over the beautiful painting!

Hi Ros, sorry for the late comment on this. Your card is beautiful, love the overlay of glittery vellum, so pretty, although this toned down the brightness of the colours, I'm sure it is beautiful either way. So sorry to hear about your leg, I hope it has improved since you posted this. And your lovely crochet vest, so pretty, love the fringe, very stylish! Keep well my friend, hugs,
