Such is Life

 Hello friends....

My apologies for not having visited you for a while, life has thrown me a few curveballs lately and I'm trying to deal with it.
All my results are back and the good news is that my spinal fusion is fine albeit that the stenosis has herniated another disc but so far it isn't causing any problems. The other results are not so favourable and I have to undergo surgery again, I don't have a choice.  Five discs in my neck  have succumbed to stenosis and osteoarthritis and are pressing on my spinal cord causing the nerve pains in my arm, eventually they will cause total paralysis so you see why I have no options.
It certainly wasn't the news I was expecting or prepared for and I am still trying to come to terms with it. I have to go to a specialist hospital but I have no idea when this will be as Covid created a huge backlog of patients. In the meantime I am hoping things don't get worse - I feel like I am living on a knife edge.

Anyway, I do have a couple of cards to share - I did do a few paintings but so far I have not been able to make them into cards, my fingers have become less dexterous.

This first card is a birthday card I sent to my lovely blog friend Greta... I hope it arrived and that you enjoyed a wonderful birthday Greta.

Sorry if the photos are a little blurry

And another birthday card for a friend

I painted the plant but the balloons are stenciled and I even use some glitter - I've still got pots of the stuff in all colours

I'm hoping to visit you all today and see waht you've been up to.

Stay well and have a good day

~ Ros ~

Hi Ros...so sorry to hear about all your problems...I wish you well. Life sucks doesn't it! Your cards are lovely, such a pretty and delicate feather card and a wonderful idea on the second one with the pant and balloons. I too have pots of glitter from way back, but I always turn to glamour dust for my glitter!..lol. Hugs xx

Ros, two more delightful cards for your friends who no doubt cherish them! Your glittered feather would be the envy of the bird population! I love the softness of your stenciled balloons alongside your painted plant.
I can only speak for myself but know that you are welcome to stop by anytime - I love it when you do - but please save all of your best moments of movement for your craft! Take care of yourself - and I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. xx

Oh, Ros, life sure does get in the way of a good time, doesn't it? Now you're waiting and hoping to get fixed before it gets worse... it isn't easy. Meanwhile, you are suffering. My heart is with you. I know that both friends absolutely loved their birthday cards. The embossing on the feather is so, so pretty, and I adore all the color on your second card. The glitter is a beautiful touch. Sending hugs.

I'm so sorry you need another surgery, Ros! This getting old is not for wimps! Speaking of which, your card arrived today & I'm gazing at it as I write this. Beautifully artistic with the stenciled background & that gorgeous embossed feather! Thank you so much, my dear friend. Hope hubby enjoyed his day, even though he already opened the gift. Your second card is also beautiful & certainly made another friend smile! I think of you often--just having trouble keeping up on the computer.
Hugs, Greta

Oh, no, Ros. I'm very sorry to hear that you need neck surgery. I pray that this will be considered a priority, given the risk of paralysis, and that you can get booked in soon to get relief, both physical and mental. Great news about your back at least. I think after this, you've been dealt quite enough curve balls.

Your cards are sensational! I'm sure Greta loved the gorgeous feather design and your other friend loved her succulent plant. A stunning design with the gold on the balloons and spilled on the table! Sending lots of love and hugs, Darnell

Oh no - keeping my fingers crossed that the surgery can happen soon. I bet it's scary but then it might be helpful that you have "no choice" so you can skip the weighing the options part that is enough to drive one crazy by itself.
Again you created wonderful cards, especially the second one won me over, so soft and the color palette is lovely! I bet they were both received in awe!
