Here we go..

Hello and good morning from a sunny Liverpool
I hope this finds you well...

I put on my card making head yesterday and finally have some to share with you. They mostly include some of my painted pieces that I had saved

This is one for a friend's birthday and I love the colours here

The flowers were painted a few years ago and somehow I managed to fussy cut them - It's weird but some days my hands work better than others, some days I can't hold anything let alone cut with scissors

And another card using one of my painted flowers

I'm so glad I kept those flowers... they look better fussy cut

And one more...

I used one of my circle dies to pour the micro beads into once I'd added glue to the centre of the flower and it worked, well, there were still quite a few on the floor.

I went to my exercise class yesterday and just seeing the ladies and having a giggle worked wonders... not to mention the stretching. I'm not ready to give up yet.

I saw this on Facebook and it made me laugh... DH and I often sit on the garden swing (him in his baseball cap) discussing what needs doing in the garden. I do wear a grey arthritis glove on my hand and I do have to take Ibuprofen

Have a lovely day friends...

How wonderful to see these lovelies today! You have such a gift, Ros - it would be so awful not to be able to share it!
Love the cartoon - and can so relate! xx

So pleased that you manage to make these gorgeous cards Ros, and as usual your designs are just so clever. I love the Japanese feel to the first and contrast between the orange flowers and the black background, and that little geometric die cut piece looks great, and then soft and pretty pink flower with the grey tones scenic piece and the pretty leaves, and the little yarn bow is perfect. The stencilled flower with the beautiful bead centre is a real showstopper too and I love the added dots. x

O-M-G ... these cards are FABULOUS! LOVE that 2nd design and the blue flower with the micro bead center is AMAZING!! I am always SO HAPPY to see your name pop up in my feed as that tells me you are feeling well enough to share some of your amazing designs with me!

Yes being around friends/people always makes my day so much better too! Unfortunately I don't get to see as many friends as I did pre-covid but I certainly take every opportunity I have to let them know I'm still here and care!

I'm excited about this evening as it is hubby's birthday (he's not a big celebrator) and I have invited the neighbors to pop in around 7:30 for cake & ice cream. I 'sneaked' out of the house yesterday under the pretense of going to the Post Office and bought the cake/ice cream which is hidden in the fridge out in the garage (tee hee). Hopefully I'll be able to pull of this little surprise!

Hope you're having a GREAT day today ... it was a beautiful weather weekend here (in the 80s) but the temps have dropped back down to 40s/50s again. But that's okay ... I soaked up a lot of Vitamin D over the weekend! LOL BIG HUGS my friend and thanks again ...

I'm loving your cards too Ros, and so happy you were able to craft away for awhile!! Had to chuckle at the cartoon too as that's definitely me, along with scattered micro beads whenever I decide to use them!! Hang in there my friend...still praying!! Hugs. :0)

Beautiful selection of cards and love that joke especially as the Ibuprofen sits on both mine and my husbands night tables :)
so glad you get some days where your hands work a little better.

Isn't it amazing when you see a cartoon that resembles your life?! It makes us realize that we are all pretty much the same world over. I am loving your cards, Ros! You really compose your art in such beautiful ways, even when you aren't feeling your best.

I'm glad to catch up and read that Ian is doing well now, although still understandably anxious. But I am sorry to read about your numbness and nerve pain in your arms and hands. I hope you are able to get surgery soon and that you get relief from it. I hope to keep in touch better now that I am back on track! Love and hugs, Darnell

Well hello friend, sorry to have not around lately! I helped my daughter put on a wedding shower for 160 people and it dang near killed me lol!! Your cards are GORGEOUS, such pretty flowers and designs and I LOVE that last one, how clever with that pretty center (I can relate to beads being all over the floor, but mine is usually glitter)! I surely hope you can get your hand problems figured out, I have trouble with mine too and Dar and I comment on ALL our blog entries but I had to back off this last week as it is so hard on my hands, so I totally understand where you are coming from, I did have surgery on my left hand but it didn't help, ugh this getting old stuff is NOT fun!! Take care my friend!!

All three of your cards are beautiful, it just shows that it is always worth keeping things. They tend to look better when you have forgotten all the imperfections you saw when they are are first done (that's what happens to me anyway). You are very brave to use micro beads, after using them at a workshop once I told myself that I mustn't ever buy any as the will go everywhere except where you want them. You did a very good job on this one, it is fabulous xx

Hello Ros. Having a catch up morning in blogland and am sorry I have been AWOL.(Too many reasons to explain!)
I read your post below and am so sad for you - hope the Walton neuro get things sorted for you ( am assuming Walton!) and that you don't have to wait too long for surgery. x
And what about these beautiful cards?! I love them all.... the micro beads breathe life into the stencil and the soft pink and grey combo is lush. But my fave simply has to be the first one. FAB-U-LUSS.
Sending hugs from a sunny Hesketh Bank! x

WOW! Three beautiful cards Ros! So happy you found these lovely flowers to make into cards. I LOVE the first one with an oriental feel. The birch trees and the beautiful shape of the die-cuts is just perfect to frame your black tree panel. The flowers coming out from behind and on top really make them pop with the contrast. And love the vines coming from the top. Second is also beautiful with the soft gray background and lovely pink flower. So delicate. And your last of fabulous with the stenciled flower and gorgeous microbead center. I can imagine you chasing those beads everywhere! :) Thanks for the laugh ... IBProfen is my good friend too! :) xx

These cards are so gorgeous, Ros! I'm so glad that you were able to fussy-cut the flowers and make these cards. I love that the first card has Asian flair. The white die-cut even looks like Shoji (a sliding screen with white paper on thin wooden laths). Using a circle dies to pour micro beads is a great idea! I'll remember that. :-)

So glad to see you blogging and creating again Ros and with such beautiful cards.~Your painted flowers are som pretty and I love the contrast of the geometric die with the softness of the flower. The card with the microbeads is beautiful and gives fantastic dimension. They are little blighters though and I avoid them like the plague no matter how careful I am they always escape.

Hi Ros. Sorry I haven’t posted a comment for a while but I hope you and your husband are well and enjoying the summer. As always I am in awe of your beautiful cards and always seem to know one of yours on Pinterest before I even see your name - you have such a simplistic yet dynamic style. Take care and God bless xx
