Pen & Paint & Prayers

Hello there, I hope this finds you well

It's a wet and miserable Sunday here, thankfully we had a decent day yesterday when most of the Jubilee celebration parties were planned. We stayed home and I did some painting.

My version of dragonflies and though you can't see it they have a coating of shimmer on their wings

A little bird who is happy to see summer arriving...

And my last card I'd scrapped as the stamping is a bit off but I added some painted flowers so now it doesn't look too bad

Thanks so much for your prayers - Not only do I have my consultant appointment for my cervical spine next week, but the clinic was moved to another hospital so I managed to get an appointment with the consultant who diagnosed my neck problems and also operated on my spine. Knowing I will have someone who I know and trust means the world to me.
I also have 2 visits to the eye hospital next week including the laser treatment so it's going to be a busy one...

Thank you all again... Have a good week

~ Ros ~

First of all, fingers crossed all goes well for you with the hospital appts. x
Sunny Hesketh Bank not so sunny today at all -what's happened to the summer?! We went to next door neighbours Jubilee BBQ last night - jumpers, huddled round fire pit with blankets wrapped round us!
Lovely cards Ros, you are far too critical as I think the last one is really pretty. I would like a little cuddle with cute fluffy birdie and the design of your dragonfly card is fab - I may store the layout (credit will be given!) although doubt that plain old stamps will be able to replicate the lush watercolours!
Take care. xx

Ros, such good news on your appointments, moving in the right direction. Agreed, it's good knowing the consultant knows your history!
Love your cards, designed so beautifully. I can just imagine the shimmer on the dragonfly's wings in real, so pretty, and how sweet is that little bird! Your floral is very pretty as well, the purple flower make it pop!
Have a good week Ros, hope all goes well with your appointments! Hugs,

I'm so glad things are moving forward in a good way, Ros! Hopefully you will have some relief soon. Your dragonflies are beautiful and so are the flowers! I think this is one of my all time favorites of your cards! Your bird is so sweet and reminds me of the fledgling birds at our feeders. They are so downy and well fed. Great save on the third card. I don't see anything wrong with the stamping. The flowers are certainly the star of the show! Take care, my friend.

So happy to hear you have all your appts next week, Ros. At least a step closer to see if anything can be done for your spine issue and excellent that you are getting more treatments for your eyes. In the meantime, who would guess you are having health issues...Both your painted cards are so beautiful and very, very special, my friend. I think and pray for you often...keep up your positive attitude and wish for sunny days ahead, which always make us feel better:-) Love and Big Hugs...Nancy

By now you know I have a love of dragonflies - this quickly became a favorite of the three! But what a tremendous trio to choose from!
Add my hopes and prayers to the others, Ros!

Some more of your fabulous had drawn creations with added embossed die frame and texture paste brickwork which looks great on the first, and some really pretty leaves and stencilling and your own drawn and colours flowers cut out and put over the top on the second Ros..great designs. I'm so pleased for you that you will be able to see the surgeon who has operated on you before and that you are having your eye lasered this week, so things are heading in the right direction. x

Your cards are always so uplifting, Ros. I am thrilled that you were up to finishing these lovely three cards. Seeing your art makes me happy.

I hope all goes well with your upcoming appts. and that you will be able to find some relief. Knowing the doctor from previous takes a lot of worry from you too. Hope the eye surgery goes well too. You have a lot to deal with right now. Sending love and hugs. Loll

I'm happy to see you today, Ros, and with encouraging news. I hope it all works out for you. Your cards are just beautiful! I especially love the dragonflies and can imagine their shimmery wings. The bird is fluffy and adorable. Love the brick and wood. You're so good! I'm trying to see what is off about your stamping on the final card, but cannot see it so you must have done a good job of fixing or covering it. I'll stay tuned for more news.

Now that I am back from Sweden and have sort of gotten used to working full-time again, I catch up with your blog - such lovely cards, all three of them. Love the little (what to me is a) blue tit!
I see, though, that this post is almost a month old and I sincerely hope that you are doing well and check off all those medical appointments one after the other and with the best possible outcome. Fingers crossed, and Larry sends her love, too!
