Lets Party

 Hi.. How are you all?

The rain has stopped for awhile though I can see it isn't done with us yet. I've had my second vaccination and thankfully I didn't have the same bad reaction to it as I did the first one. All I need now is a relaxing beach holiday ... If only!

I've made quite a few cards lately using up bits and pieces which I'll share with you over the next week or so but today's card is for my great nephew Ross, who will be 19 this week. Where the heck did all those years go?? Once he got into his late teens he didn't want to come up to Liverpool and hang out with his grandparents so much and then came the pandemic so I haven't seen him in a long while.

Anyway, here's what I came up with

I used some digital files here... The background paper is a digital that I then stenciled on and the drinks are all digitals fussy cut

I did add some dimensional gloss to the glasses and the fruit but I'm not sure it shows up here. After stamping and embossing the birthday sentiment I added a die cut and used the little popped out dots from it to decorate the rest of the card

I hope he likes it and at knows that we love him and miss him.

Have yourselves a wonderful Sunday... Be safe

CAS Mix Up

 Hello there...

Today's card s for the new challenge at CAS Mix Up where Susan is hosting and my blog friend Michele is guesting.

Here are the requirements for this months' challenge

Considering we've had a tremendous amount of rain lately and sunshine thrown in, you'd think we would be seeing lots of rainbows but so far, non... Here's my card

Rainbow DI colours through a stencils with a stamped and embossed image by Woodware - The stamp was a little bigger but I decided to cut it down and edge it with a piece cut from a frame

I also added liquid pearls to the centre

I'm off for my 2nd vaccination later today and I only hope I don't have the same reaction as I did to the first one... Fingers crossed

Have a lovely day and thanks for popping by

Pensive

Hello friends... I hope this finds you well

We've had a bit of rain these past few days and it makes everything look so fresh. I managed to do some tidying in the garden at the weekend and I just love to look out and see the trees with their leaves unfurling and the garden coming into life.

Today I'm sharing some more paintings that I did sometime ago... The first one was sent to a friend of mine

She was the one who bought me my first set of Prima paints and look where that led me

This next one is a personal favourite and one my husband loves too

I was thinking about the friend I lost, how much I miss her, the conversations we had that I don't have with anyone else... Our friendship was special

Sometimes you just need to be alone with your thoughts and your memories and in my case, paint how I was feeling

Okay, that's it for now... I'm off to visit you all

Have a lovely day - Till next time

Some Oldies

Hello there...

The week is whooshing by and I haven't done any crafting at all. Hubby had his 2nd vaccination yesterday and I got to catch up with some friends.... Finally!

It was my friend Hilary's 60th and we had a small social gathering in her garden with people coming and going intermittently. It was such a delight to see and chat to those I haven't seen for so long, albeit that the weather was cold and windy. It's been lovely and sunny all week, but not yesterday. I tell you I was exhausted after a couple of hours and I still can't get warm.

Anyway, I may not have crafted but I do have a few cards to share with you... These were made awhile ago playing with a tree stamp by Lavinia and adding a drawn mushroom roof

I drew some tiny branches creeping over the 'roof' on this one too

and the second one

...which I did for a family member

I prefer the first one, what about you?

Thanks for stopping by, have a lovely day

More Shakers and New Baby

 Hello... How are you?

I've a couple more shaker cards to share today... They use up some bits and pieces I have around not to mention some of the hundreds of sequins I have collected

The first one here has a stenciled background and hand painted roses in the shaker frame

I wasn't too enamoured by the roses but they look fine as a shaker background and they didn't go to waste

The second one is also a painting I did of a cocktail in a glass... it was based on a birthday card I got this year but my version really looks better as a shaker Lol!

The butterfly and the dragon fly were stamped and the acetate "party" sign was one of a few different ones that a blog friend sent me years ago.. I knew this last one would find a home somewhere

The only thing with photographing acetate is that the camera picks up little marks that are invisible to the eye - See the tiny black specks?

Finally.... Esmeralda and Eugene have a little daughter, Tilly

I knew you would want to know and see how sweet she is

Of course her grandparents spoil her rotten and she's the apple of her Daddy's eye

Have a wonderful weekend my friends....

Till soon

Tig & Mo

 Hello!

I hope you had a good weekend and your week started well, it did here with sunshine and warm weather

Today's cards feature some new characters Tig and Mo. Well, you saw Mo in my previous post, this is her best friend Tig

Tig lives in an old tin can and whilst the rain is not ideal (it causes rust) at least it brings fresh leaves which create a shelter from the litter pickers, as long as the snails doesn't eat too much.  Tig and Mo have had various homes, old shoes, coffee cups and even a french fries box complete with an outer bag. But somehow the litter pickers find them and that's that.
Lock down has been hard on the mice, certainly not as much food around that's for sure and the pesky pigeons swoop in whenever there's a find.

Now there is a little more freedom, Tig called on Mo and suggested that the first sunny day they have, they would go down to the beach. Everything is better at the beach and who knows what they may find  That's if they can remember the way...

Two days later, armed with a towel and a parasol, they set off. They hadn't gone far when they came across a piece of discarded chocolate.. Joy of joys! They never understood why humans threw away so much stuff not that they're complaining, it kept them fed and chocolate was a favourite. This piece had a nut right in the middle so starting at opposite ends they chomped away until the nut came free. With full bellies they rolled up the precious nut in the towel for a lunchtime treat

This was going to be a good day they decided.

I hope you all have a good day too...

Till soon
