Kitty Cat Birthday Cards

Hey, how are you?Still no sign of the sun here... Someone stole it.

Well another week is coming to a close and what a week it's been in this crazy world we are living in right now...

June is a busy month for birthdays so I'm desperately trying to keep up, I just don't know where the time goes!

Today I'm sharing two kitty birthday cards for friends

They both have a cat and kitten and balloons but they are slightly different

Creating the cards is one thing but getting gifts is another, even though most stores are now open now I don't feel comfortable venturing in them yet so Amazon is my go to right now, thank goodness for technology even if it doesn't always work.

Have a wonderful weekend and maybe, just maybe the sun might pay us a visit.

Till soon

Little Birds

Hello friends...

Still not much sunshine in my neck of the woods and still isolating here, though I did get to go out for a little drive on Sunday. It's weird, I liked being out and seeing the world beyond my own front door, yet it was alarming seeing people congregating, no social distancing, no masks, kids in crowds...

Anyway, I have some painted bird cards to share today... These will also be posted, well I can't keep them all can I?

This is a birthday card for a lifelong friend who lives in NJ and has been working constantly in the health sector caring for elderly patients. Only recently she was given full PPE and I am so glad that she is safe

The next ones I'm sending to blog friends

"Hello Friend"

I still love using blues and greens

But no two birds are ever the same... Sometimes I sketch one easily and sometimes I don't

See he's completely different, but that's okay

With all the horror going on in this world, it's just nice to get lost in something creative

Stay safe and well and enjoy your day

For Friends

Hello...
It's friday already and another week has flown by. A week of mixed weather here - some days were really hot and then cool with rain and more rain. Not that I'm complaining, I've slept well these past two nights and the garden really needed the rain.

Today's cards were made for blog friends but they have arrived so it's safe to share

So you can guess who this was for - the name kind of gives it away

And I'm so glad she liked it.

This one was for my lovely friend Marcia...

I think it was my first attempt at a bird house

Our mail is only arriving once a week here and I have been thrilled to receive cards from many of you too. Each one is like a little hug... That's one of the things I miss most about not seeing my friends and about the friends I lost last year - The hugs.

Thanks so much for your visit and your lovely comments but most of all for your friendship

Till soon

Hello June

Hello and welcome to June

The 1st of June is always bitter sweet, it was the day I lost my Dad 47 years ago, and the same day my friend was married, so I can never forget her anniversary.

This year I painted a card for her and left it without a sentiment, simply because she loves my little paintings and already has framed one so she may like to do the same with this

I used a laminator to foil on the 'balloons' after I did the painting and yep, I was a little nervous of what may happen but it worked okay

It's been so hot here and much as I enjoy good weather, I don't like it too hot unless I'm in a pool or on the beach which is just not an option this year. So I've spent my time either outdoors in the shade or in my craft room which is very cool,  painting a few little note cards to send to some of my blog friends

I enjoy doing these and I hope the recipients will like them too.

Have a lovely day my friends

Pretty Bird Houses

Hi there...
It's another hot day here which is great except I struggle to sleep at night so I may catch a snooze in the shade later

So today I have a couple of bird houses for you

I'm enjoy the blues and greens again and each time I paint something, I learn a little bit more, whether it's the colour blending or the angle of the brush

Of all the brushes I have collected, I tend to stick just to 2... A fine line round one and a  slightly bigger round

My sketches aren't that big so I'm using up all the odd pieces of spare cardstock I have accumulated

I've also left the painting and come back to it when it's dry so I can add more colour or perhaps something it's lacking to add balance.

Anyway I hope you like them...

Have a lovely day

Wisteria

Hello... I hope you are all well

It's been a glorious day here and I'm popping in quickly with a couple of wisteria paintings

I would love wisteria in my garden, front and back.

Maybe one day I can get one but for now I just paint and use my imagination

Yes the obsession with mushrooms continues haha! I just find them so easy to sketch and I love the different shapes

... and I've loads more to share with you sometime - Thank lockdown!

Have a beautiful day/evening and thanks so much for stopping by
