Hi there...
Heck, we are halfway through March already... Can you believe it?
We are also halfway through the month long challenge at
CAS Watercolour Challenge
Where Birgit and I are both guest designing...
Here's my card for the reminder
I took full advantage of the curling vellum to make those pretty butterflies, stamped and embossed and painted with distress inks
The butterflies are from Clearly Besotted and I stamped 4 half butterflies, fussy cut them and painted all 4. It's much easier to fussy cut vellum I find.
To get the sparkle on the letters, I first stamped and embossed a piece of card with a 'sea waves' stamp (Aliexpress) and then cut the letters... It gives a nice random pattern.
Hop on over to the blog to see what the rest of the team have created to inspire you ...
A huge Thank You to the team for having me as a guest this month
Enjoy your day

Your butterflies are so gorgeous with this combination of colours on the vellum, Ros! And great to take advance of the curve from watercolouring ... the shaping and layering of your butterflies really gives them lots of depth and dimension. What a cool way to get a random bit of sparkle on your die-cut words. So clever and creative! Thanks againg for being our Guest Designer at CAS Watercolour! xx
This is absolutely gorgeous Ros....love the design and those gorgeous butterflies....so classy and professional looking. Very wet here...my feet are webbed and my hair blown to bits! How is it with you? Enjoy tomorrow whatever it brings. xx
I love the colours you have chosen for these beautiful butterflies Ros, and the gold embossing perfect with it and love the stitched words with the sea wave stamping, and also the rectangles. x
Beautiful Ros, love the random stamping on your letters, great idea (file for future CASE :))and those butterflies are stunning :)
This is one of those times you truly appreciate the curling vellum. So beautiful, Ros. I love the effect of your sea waves embossing for the letters. It's a simply stunning card!
Great idea to take advantage of the curling vellum and create those beautiful butterflies - such pretty colours too. And I love the way you did the sentiment. Thanks so much for being our Guest Designer this month at CAS Watercolour.
I always find something new to try when I come to visit Ros and the way you created partially embossed letters is my take home from this one! What a pretty card and your delicate butterflies are just beautiful. Hope you have survived all the stormy weather and are ready for a settled time now.
Hugs

I love the color and shape of these butterflies, Ros! The heat embossed gold adds wonderful elegance! Thanks so much for being one of our Guest Designers this month!
Gorgeous die cut and heat embossed on vellum 1/2 butterflies. I love how you stacked them and added your bold sentiment. TFS the tip on heat eb sea waves stamp and then die cutting the A and Wish. Beautiful shine and colors on your butterflies and sentiment. TFS my friend and so pleased you were one of the GD this month. Hugs..Nancy

This is one BEAUTIFUL card Ros!! I absolutely LOVE your delicate butterflies with the gold embossing and such lovely colors...and how perfect to use the curling of the vellum to give such depth and dimension to them! Really like how you did your die cut WISH too! Lovely, lovely card my friend and so glad to have you guesting with us this month at CAS Watercolour!! :0)
Beautiful card Ros! Your vellum butterflies are so pretty, gorgeous colours. Very interesting on how you did the sparkle on the letters - very creative. All around fabulous card!
Your watercoloring on the vellum made for some beautiful butterflies to flutter on your gold embossed card!
Your watercoloring is so beautiful. I love the dimension on them and the design. Great card. I scrolled down and love your balloons done in alcohol inks. Gorgeous! I know how annoying restless legs are. I buy a product at the big box store called Restful Legs. You dissolve it under your tongue and it really helps. It comes in a little tube like package.
OH WOW Ros, this is just wonderful - Love you made the focus the sentiment and added the delightful soft colours with the vellum butterflies - gorgeous card
You leave me in awe time after time, Ros! Those gossamer butterflies should be on the cover of a magazine and I love the way you cleverly got the schparkle on the letters!! Hugs, Darnell
OOOH! Those watercolored butterflies are just GORGEOUS!
This card has such a light tough to it - just as anything to do with butterflies shouls be! You say halfway through March... I say: April 1 tomorrow! And it seems it was just the end of January...
Oh my goodness you even fussy cut the antenna perfectly! Beautiful with all the shiny embossing. the patterned letters look so cool.
