Anniversary and NBUS

Hello...Happy August to you

How the time is flying by... Did you have a good weekend? I got out my sewing machine and made two new blouses and spent a little time in the garden

Thank you so much for your comments and your kind wishes for DH... he is touched by your concern. He is doing fine, his GP has arranged tests and we are waiting for a 24hr heart monitor, though the paramedics that attended said he had the heart of an athlete - He puffed up like a peacock then I can tell you Lol!

So today I have two cards... This one is an anniversary card for friends

Shiny things are so hard to photograph and this one has foiling along with  some watercolour leaves,  flowers and a little heart

See, shiny...

The second card I'm sharing at Darnell's NBUS challenge

The lovely horse and foal stamp is by Lavinia and I have never inked it up before but I thought one of my watercolour backgrounds would be a good place for them

After stamping those lovelies together with some hanging branches, I needed to ground them so I painted a curvy line to give it the appearance that they are standing near a lake...
This card really gives me a peaceful feeling

Well, the sun has finally come out after a very wet start this morning, it always pours down when DH goes golfing and by time he gets home the weather has improved...

Have a great day and take care

Such beautiful cards Ros, but I would have to say I absolutely love your last card with the horses! Wow, wow, your beautiful watercoloured background and love that you created a shore line, it really does look like they are standing near the edge, another frameable card! Your anniversary card is so pretty, love the colours and all that sparkle, wonderful sentiment too! You have been busy with your sewing and all. Gosh I haven't sewing in many years, as I use to make a lot of my own clothes, lately it's just been face masks. We had 2 days of rain, and very heavy at times, gardens are just soaked, but the sun is shining today, and humidity has left. Rest of the week looks good temp wise as well, I'll take it! Have a wonderful day Ros, sending hugs,

The anniversary card is gorgeous Ros, I just love the way you have stamped and embossed in gold on to some pretty coloured watercolour pieces of card, and also added the sweet die cut heart, and the gold foiled dots look fabulous, and more of your wonderful painting and the Lavinia horses are just perfect right by the side of the water, great reflection and they look as though they may be having a drink from the pool. So pleased your DH is doing OK and hope all the upcoming tests go well. x

Two beautiful cards Ros. Great colour combo with the gold embossed flecks on the first and your mare and foal image is so sweet. Beautifully water coloured :)

Your fabulous photography skills have not been foiled by that foil, Ros! Love your anniversary card - and the sentiment is just wonderful!
Those horses found themselves a home in one of your darling paintings, didn't they? Shady willows, and a drink... who could ask for more?

Glad to hear your other half is doing better and looking into some testing. We just can't be too careful these days! Will keep him (and you) in my prayers.

😂 So funny about the hubby puffing up like a peacock! But good to know his heart is great and that they are doing more tests. Your photos definitely captured the schparkle on your gorgeous anniversary card, Ros! The colors just wow the heck out of me and it's such a unique and pretty design! I love your wonderful mare and foal silhouette design, too. That background was just waiting for them to step into. The added hanging branches and curved line complete the scene perfickly! Take care and thank you for sharing with everyone at NBUS! Hugs, Darnell

Oh, again, those leaves and flowers look like stained glass or cloisonne! Such a beautiful card. I thought it looked amazing in the first pic, but the second shows the shine even more! I feel so peaceful looking at your horses by the pond in the meadow, sigh. The overhanging branches and your background are so beautiful in the scene. Love how you framed it, too. Glad your DH is feeling good enough to puff up. It sure leaves you wondering. Rich has not had another episode since that first one a couple of years ago, but I've been on him about drinking water.

I'm glad your hubby is doing well, Ros. It must have been quite a shock to have him locked in the bathroom and not know what had happened. Well done you though for acing your sugar levels and LOSING a stone when everyone else is piling on the pounds in these weird times. We are back in local lockdown but I'm doing my best to keep busy.

I am always amazed by your creativity in so many areas and these lovely cards are no exception. Love the shine and design on the first one but the second one takes my heart! This is such an evocative and peaceful scene and I love it!

Hope you are keeping well.
Hugs

Wish I could send you some of our sunshine! Way too hot & dry here for my liking! Beautiful anniversary card! I need to remember that I can die cut outline images from a smooshed or watercolored panel since coloring is such a challenge for me. Oh my goodness--the horse painting truly should be framed, Ros! It's one of my favorites & makes me think of my dad who loved animals, but colts were his favorite. I love how you made them be next to a lake--just gorgeous & so peaceful! I want to be there!

You are being so active - even sewing now! But your cards are real beauties again, too. I totally get what you mean about the second one making you feel peaceful. That's exactly the effect it has on me. Can imagine DH's peacock impersonation... So good he's feeling well enough so that jokes can be made about him ;-)
