Happy Birthday Ewe

 Hello!

If you looked out my window right now you would see the sun shining, but don't be fooled, it's freezing cold with an icy wind. I know it's the same if not worse for many of you... Hurry up Spring!

It's DH's birthday today and he was so happy with his "Marlon" card... said I captured his legs perfectly.

Today I'm sharing a birthday card I made for my SIL... She has a penchant for sheep so I attempted to paint one... Meet Betty

I could have called her Bah...bra but Betty it is. I'm not sure what breed of sheep she is but even with that curly wool coat she still needed a scarf in this frigid weather.

I don't know about you, but sometimes I think sheep have scary eyes... Betty is wearing mascara today and they look even more intense.

The flower she's holding didn't grow in the snowy Dales.. It came from the local supermarket. The sheep often wander a fair distance and have been known to hold up traffic whilst rummaging around for something a little more tasty than the snow covered grass.

At least she saved one flower to give to my SIL

Have yourselves a lovely day and stay warm my friends

Till soon

~ Ros ~

Ros, Betty looks quite happy with her name... but watch that rose- she also looks quite like she'll eat it the moment you turn your back! Gorgeous snow-covered hills, and dales!
Just so lovely - your SIL is going to love it!

OMG ... Betty has such a beautiful face and yes how sweet of her to save that precious flower for your SIL LOL. Oh my dear friend, I just LOVE stopping by your blog for the latest adventure and am always SO IMPRESSED with your paintings (& stories). Thanks for starting my day off on the right foot ... hugs to you! Please stay warm and safe ... expecting a couple more snowstorms here in Ohio over the next few days so after I get through a couple appointments today, you know where you'll find me. Stay well ...

Every one should have a Betty!!
We have many 'Bettys' in the field at the back of the house but none of them are sporting a red rose and all should be wearing scarves cos you're right - it's darn cold!
Love Betty as much as I love all your paintings Ros. xx

Betty is hands down the most beautiful ewe I've seen ever! She's a fashionista so of course she's wearing a scarf. We sometimes see sheep on the main coastal highway just south of us because it's free range. None of them are this pretty! I adore her and the lovely countryside she lives in!

I'm sure your SIL will love Betty, a very pretty and chic sheep with her neckerchief and holding a pretty flower for your SIL. Beautifully drawn and coloured Ros and a lovely snowy scene in the background too. So pleased your hubby loved his card too featuring Marlon the magnificent duck. x

A very beautiful card with Betty(the sheep), Ros!! I see she made a trip to the store for the lovely flower, lol! Love your stories, so creative!! Your SIL will love your fabulous card, so perfect and sweet!!

How SWEET! Her curly coat is perfectly done! So enjoying your 'play'. Here in the Pacific Northwest every limb and tendril of grass is glazed with ICE! Beautiful but cold! ♥

Totally adorable card, I just love how 'Betty' turned out!! You are so talented and creative!! Big hugs to you my friend and it has been bitter cold here in Michigan and looks like we have more of it! Sorry I have been missing in action so long but it took me awhile to get back in the swing of things, it seems everything exhausts me lately, that old age creeping up on me you know and all the health issues I have had, my entire way of life has changed it seems. Hope this finds you well and can't wait to see your next creations, though I haven't commented much I surely have seem each and every one of you amazing work!! Take care!!

Oh my goodness-- Betty is absolutely beautiful! She has such the prettiest face, and love that you added mascara and that pretty green scarf! I just love her! Lovely scenery you created as well. Your SIL is going to love this Ros! I filled up my bird feeders this morning, and they are 2/3rds empty, the coldness seems to bring them out for food. Must go refill. Enjoy your day, keep safe and warm. Always looking forward to your next post. Sending hugs......

Another awesome critter, Ros! Betty is so pretty, but does have those dark, brooding eyes. :) You have captured her wooly fur so perfectly! And I love the background with the mountains, and bare branch. Love that sweet flower she is holding in her teeth. I bet your SIL absolutely went bonkers over this card Ros! Thank you for always brightening my day! xx

That's an amazing card, Ros. I absolutely love Betty. And no, I have never felt sheep have a threatening stare? Anyhow, with all your wonderful paintings it's hard to say but I think this must be my favorite.
