Hello there...I hope this finds you well
I've a few minute to spare before I cook dinner so I thought I'd pop in and share a few things
I'm still sketching, painting and sewing so first up a couple of Christmas cards with my sketched and painted penguin
I haven't put a sentiment on this one, maybe I will later
I think he's quite a cutie... And the second one
...with his own little tree
As for the sewing, well, I thought you'd like to see my last makes
This tunic top was made using a PDF freebie which was for a dress with a swirl skirt (not me) but just using the top part I've adapted it to make a few different tops and tunics
Unfortunately the colour doesn't show too well, it's more of a pale green and it's stretch fabric with a soft fleece type underside
The flower spray was a buy from Aliexpress and I had to hand sew it using invisible thread which was a nightmare I can tell you, but I think it was worth it.
The next one is a fleece coat, I used the same pattern I had for my dressing gown
It looks a lot nicer on and is really cosy with side pockets and double layered hood.
The weather here has remained quite mild now I have all these warm things to wear - Always the way.
Anyway I hope you like my makes
Be safe my friends...

Your sweet little penguins are absolutely ADORABLE Ros, and make perfect Christmas cards! And your sewing projects are AMAZING!! Both your top and your jacket look professionally made...I am SO impressed!! I used to sew all the time when our girls were little and liked to wear dresses...it was so fun but now I dread hauling the machine out if I have to repair or hem something!! I'd rather make a card!! Haha!! Enjoy your new wardrobe!! Hugs. :0)
Those penguins are so cute Ros and love the added dimensional snow and the dry embossing on the background of the first, and the added bit of water on the second, and some lovely branches for added interest..fantastic cards with great designs. A fabulou top wit the gorgeous spray of flowers and love the complementary colour wih the pretty pink, and the check coat is amazing, I can imagine how brilliant it looks when worn..so warm too. x
Ros, you are the only other person besides my Mom, who could sew without a pattern - even an adapted one would befuddle me these days!
Great makes - and I adore your little penguins!

wow you have been busy with your sewing and watercolouring. Your little penguin is adorable and well done adapting patterns. I just received some gortex material for 2 dog jackets, lets see what I can do :)

Your penguin cards are just the cutest, Ros!! They looks very real and so sweet!! And, your sewing projects are fabulous!! I’m so amazed at your talent! I could see these makes in a store on display, just perfect! I love the top with the lovely color and beautiful flowers! And, the fleece coat looks very cozy and warm! I had to bring out my winter coat for it is quite cold here in the 30’s and windy. Take care and have a great weekend, hugs!
WOW! I've always been impressed with your sketching abilities and now I'm DOUBLY IMPRESSED with your sewing! These garments are AMAZING and beautiful!! Well done! Your penguin cards are just adorable ... love that little guy!! Thanks again for always sharing such amazing inspiration! I love coming to visit your blog! Take care of yourself my friend! HUGS from OHIO, USA
To say you are talented would be an understatement! I used to make all of my clothes but that was a very long time ago.
Such a cute little baby - he looks so lonesome out there in the snow all by himself - at least someone gave him a warm hat to wear!
Sandy xx
Your sweet penguin just melts my heart, Ros. He is so adorable and I love both cards with the beautiful, unique designs. Your sewing is amazing. I love your tunic top ... the colour is so pretty and soft. The embellishment is gorgeous! And what a warm and cozy fleeze coat! That will keep you warm in the cold, for sure! xx
You very clearly have a gift that keeps giving. Your little Penguin is adorable and those outfits are something else. Sewing stretchy fabric is really quit hard and your top looks perfect. Wonderful flower spray too xx
Oh, Ros, your penguins are adorable! I love the branch on the first and how you used the embossing folder horizontally. The little tree on the second card tugs at my heart strings. I don't know why I'm so touched by certain things. I also love seeing your sewing masterpieces as it is an art form and you have a great talent for it. The floral spray on your blouse is wonderful. I have used that invisible thread before when I sewed. It's like fine fishing line. I think you'll get a lot of wear out of your fleece coat. There is still a lot of winter ahead!
Your penguins are adorable, Ros! I love the textured snow and both the tree and berries! The tunic is gorgeous! Love the soft green color and the beautiful flowers! Sewing with invisible thread is so hard, but so worth it! The coat looks so warm and toasty and I'm sure it will get lots of use very soon!
OOOHH look at your fabulous sewing, I love the green top with the floral decorations and that coat does look really snuggly AND not to forget your cutest little penguins - super Christmas cards too Ros, hugs Robyn
Super adorable penguin and love the face and his stance. Both cards are super cute and love that the second one has it's own tree x. Wow to your sewing skills and the flower spray looks so pretty and so worth the effort Ros x. You'll need that fleece coat this week Ros x.
You've been so productive, Ros, making these darling cards and sewing cozy clothes!
Your baby penguin is so adorable, and I love the texture of the snow. The flower spray sewn with invisible thread looks so beautiful and elegant on the pale green. The fleece coat will sure make you happy this winter!
Hideko xx
You are so talented! Love the top & that beautiful floral spray! Your coat looks wonderful with the cozy hood. I imagine the cold weather will hit you soon! The Christmas cards are darling! I especially love the look of the first one!
