Winter Blues

 Hello there...A really quick post

I'm popping in with a card for the  Double D Challenge which is Blue and White (with the option of Winter)... This is their mood board

I didn't exactly follow the mood board... I was just playing with my paints

Loosley creating a wash with blue paint and then using a wet paintbrush to remove the paint and thus create the Winter tree and fence

I hope you're not tired of seeing my trees, I just enjoy doing them. I've been doing a lot of sewing but I'm plagued by a trapped nerve in my left hand and I had to stop. Fortunately I only need my right hand to paint.

Have a lovely evening

~Ros ~

This is such a beautiful tree and the blue wash is really pretty and conveys the feel of Winter perfectly Ros. I'm sorry you have a trapped nerve in your left hand and hope it will soon be better. x

What a dreamy magical tree, Ros! Love the pretty blue color wash! The sentiment matches the description of your card perfectly! Sorry to hear about the trapped nerve in your left hand. I hope that improves for you soon! Take care, hugs!!

OH WOW ... just stunning my friend! How could I ever get tired of seeing your trees ... always amazing! LOVE the movement in this project ... sure looks cold & windy ... just like it is on our East Coast today ... they are calling for 2-4 FEET of snow ... glad we are in towards the middle of the country. As it is we still have over a foot of the white stuff on the ground lol.

Beautiful sentiment on today's project too! I just LOVE seeing what you create ... I envy your artistic talent! Hope the hand isn't giving you too much pain ... ouch!

Thanks so much for joining in the fun at our Double D ‘Blue & White’ challenge! Good Luck and we hope you’ll come back often.

Wow, stunning card Ros, so beautifully peaceful too, a fabulous scene! It is cold but sunny here, we have had lots of sun this winter, so unusual for our winters which are normally cold and dreary, have 20 plus inches of snow on the ground and bitter cold! thank you for joining our challenge at Double D!

So beautiful, Ros, and a quote befitting your work of art. You do blow my mind with your watercolors. Our winters don't always look soft and beautiful. They're more wet and gray. Nevertheless, I love them with our evergreen forest out back and the mist and a bit of wood smoke hanging in the trees. Every season has beauty.
